Ok, please no bashing or telling me how unhealthy this is (you would be wrong). I just want to share my story how I did this. I Juice fasted. That's right folks! Ok, please no bashing or telling me how unhealthy this is (you would be wrong). I just want to share my story how I did this. I Juice fasted. That's right folks! Only consumed freshly juiced veggies and fruits. It was all completely suggested by a Doctor (I work for him) and under his and 2 others supervision. As a Nursing student I spent 6 months fully researching this before attempting. I have never felt so amazing and energized in my life. I reversed my PCOS and am on the path to healing my thyroid. And the 30lb was all completely fat. I did a body fat analysis before and after. I did not start on this to lose weight, it was just an added bonus. I did this for medical/fertility reasons. If anyone has questions on it just let me know!

This fast is only temporary. It's a precursor into a healthy life style and cleaning/repairing your body. Thanks so much for the support and emails!! I love having people so excited about their health!! You are amazing ladies!

This may be a stupid question, but is there any difference in juicing them versus just eating "vegetarian" for a month?

Oh and anyone else who thinks this would be almost impossible to do, try Whole30... I've heard it's a great "reset" for your body and I'm doing what I'd like to call "Partial Paleo" right now.

@Rayy-chull, I've been trying to convince FH to do the Paleo with me but so far he isn't into it. I am pretty good with eating a lot of the foods included but my downfall is incorporating Jasmine rice, cereal, and whole grain pasta. Have you seen any results from it?

Oh my FH won't do it either! Lucky guy is like 6'1" and 180lbs. I've started and stopped it a few times (I fall off the wagon alot!) but each time I get better at doing it. The biggest motivation lately is the savings at the grocery! I never though I'd actually save money but I shop at Aldi and it makes grocery shopping SO easy since I don't even visit most of the store. I had a hard time not eating brown rice and breads but recently I've been doing better. I really haven't seen the results that I want because I do it off and on and haven't been exercising. Hopefully I'll get better and better at it until I'm a full-on paleo freak Smiley winking check out nomnompaleo.com! I've been reading her blog lately! Good luck!!!

Dr. Joel advocates it as well. It's just difficult for most people to do. Kudos to you.

You can always add some whey protein powder. there are several that are low cal. some veggies have some protein, also you can blend some chia seeds which will give you fiber as well.

If you are doing a Juice fast, unfortunately you cannot use chia Seeds nor Whey Powder. But the good news is there are tons of fruits and veggies packed with Protein.(Such as Spinach) here is a link to better inform. http://www.livestrong.com/article/394772-protein-rich-fruits-vegetables/ Yes Juice Fasting is short term. But the benefits are life long if you continue to eat a clean healthy lifestyle. The Juice Fast helps you connect with your body and understand nutrition and how to live a clean healthy long life. I have found the majority of people who disagree, do so because they just simply don't understand. They hear the word "fast" and assume your not eating. I would like to mention, those who are looking to heal their body from an illness need to do an extended Fast (30-100 days) those who are just looking to reboot (3-14 days) The longer then better! (Within reason)

I know a lady who only juices one day a week. She is crazy busy on this day and was running through fast food for a couple meals that day and finally said no more. She lost a lot of weight just doing this one day a week.

It works great if you can just juice one meal a day or for your snacks. It gives you a huge boost of energy much more than a soda or a candy bar.

@MJ I totally agree! You don't have to even fast. Just adding 1-2 Juices a day makes a TRAMENDOUS difference! @Nicole A. That is one of my favs! Def a great Pre-juicing Movie must see!

I am SO interested and will be emailing you. I'm a vegetarian and love learning about foods and healthy eating. I recently got a food processor and juicer and have been playing around with it. I've noticed right off the bat I feel SO much better on days when I just to juice for a meal. I can only imagine how good it will feel doing something a bit more long term.

Honestly if anyone here is seriously considering this, I'd totally recommend watching fat sick and nearly dead as well. It's a pretty amazing movie (documentary or whatever you'd like to consider it) but I've been considering juicing after seeing that. I'll do green smoothies or smoothies in general because I don't want to buy a juicer yet but might need to make the switch.

Juicing fruits and veggies is 100% healthy! Congrats! I don't have the willpower for that! Unless everything tastes delicious!
