How long after marriage do you continue to wear your engagement ring?

My mom has been wearing it for 40 years.

I plan to wear mine with my wedding band forever!

I plan to wear my engagement ring forever, along with my wedding band....it's pink so it matches most of my wardrobe perfectly lol :-)

I never knew people only wore bands after getting married? Is this new?? lol

I'm not getting a wedding band. Only wearing engagement ring. Mine is a unique design though, so it already looks like it has a band soldered to it anyway.

They will be work together prob till I have a baby. I have a high set stone which gets caught on baby things.

I'm wearing mine for the rest of my life.

I'm a clumsy medical scientist. My e-ring sits very high and is problematic when I'm in the lab. I have a nice wedding band that is much more conducive to everyday wear. I plan on wearing my e-ring and band together for more formal situations and date nights.

I wear mine every second that I can. I only take it off (and wear my Qalo) for certain things at work.

I will probably only wear the band because I'm in the medical field and I'm in and out of surgical gloves all day long. I can't even work my e-ring now sometimes I consider finding a new job just so I can wear it! Weekends are not enough(only days I get to wear jewelry is weekends)

I SURE AS HECK still wear this puppy!

For over 50 happy years. Actually, 50 years and 7 months. Plan on wearing it for many more!

My engagement ring and my wedding band fit into one another. They're literally going to be one ring. I've never heard of not wearing th engagement ring.

The majority of brides will wear their engagement ring along with their wedding band for the rest of their life. Very few chose to do something different. It's an expensive ring that has special and significant meaning, I'm not sure why anyone wouldn't want to wear it forever!

I think it's personal preference, but it's been a growing trend to wear both.
