Of course there is the tradition that the honeymoon starts right away...but I've known people who had to wake up at 5am the next morning to catch their honeymoon flight. No offense, but I feel like I am going to want to sleep in/digest everything and just breathe for a few days after.
So, how long after your wedding are you going to do your honeymoon? Feel free to share where you're going/how long

We will get married on Saturday and leave Monday morning for our honeymoon. We will be there Monday-Sunday and take the following Monday off to be at home alone together. I wanted to wait a couple months, but FH didn't. We compromised and are staying home that Sunday to open gifts and relax! Then the Monday we get home will be spent putting all the stuff away.
Our wedding is on a Sunday and we leave for Hawaii that Tuesday. Monday is going to be a “rest and recovery day”, we are hosting whatever guests are still there at our hotel pool, renting a cabana. I agree, neither of us wanted to hop on a plane the morning right after the wedding!
Our wedding is on a Saturday afternoon & we leave Sunday (late) morning. We’re going on a cruise so we didn’t really have the option to wait a day. It was either the next day or two weeks later and I didn’t want to wait two weeks. (I didn’t want to go back to work in between the wedding and the honeymoon haha) At first it was a little sooner than I wanted but now that it’s a few weeks away I’m super excited!
We're going on our honeymoon about 13 days after the wedding due to Thanksgiving in between our wedding and honeymoon that we didn't want to miss out with family
Getting Married on Saturday 11/3 and leaving Monday 11/5. I agree with you-- I didn't want to wake up the morning after and jet off. Sunday we're having a brunch with some family and will open some gifts and finish packing. We're heading to the UK and are so excited!
We are getting married on a Saturday, we leave Monday morning for our honeymoon. We are excited to have Sunday to recharge but we didn't want to go back to work Monday. We didn't have enough vacation days left to take Monday off and then go on a honeymoon in a couple of weeks.
We're getting married in October and we're going on our honeymoon in January, so 3 months. It just so happens to be one of the cheapest times to go to Vegas, and I will have accumulated enough PTO within the time frame to take another week off.

We went on our honeymoon 2 weeks after our wedding. Absolutely did not want to get up the next day to catch a flight for our honeymoon.
Our wedding is next Saturday. And we leave that Thursday. We have guests in town until Tuesday. So Wednesday is resting for me while FH works. And we leave Thursday night for NY
Our wedding is on a Sunday and we are leaving the following Saturday night for a 2 week trip to Italy! We thought about leaving a day or 2 after the wedding but once we decided to have that 6 day gap, we felt SO relieved. That’s 6 days after the wedding that we’ll have to open gifts and write thank yous, pack for the trip, get things done at work before taking 2 weeks off, etc. We didn’t want to wait too long after the wedding for the honeymoon because we wanted to keep the magic of the post-wedding feeling on the trip. We felt like leaving the following weekend was a perfect middle ground where we’ll still be excited but not overwhelmed.
We did a mini-moon at our wedding resort so we could sleep in & CHILL for a few days. Heavenly to enjoy our amazing resort & Napa since we were there for our DW. Due to time/money, we planned a honeymoon for our 1st year anniversary (it looks more like our 2nd). So happy with our plans!
We don't know where yet, but we are going to have to wait a while depending on FH's school schedule! It could be anywhere from a couple weeks after to a few months depending on his breaks!
I get married Saturday December 8, and our cruise departs Monday December 10. For us it's the perfect amount of time and the timing of the wedding and cruise is awesome. We're going to the Caribbean for 12 days - once I get back on the 21, my work's holiday closing begins and I don't go back to work until January 2! I work at a college so we close for the holidays.

We’re going to have a 3 month gap between our wedding & honeymoon as well. Getting married in June, then FH has to go overseas for a tour (he’s a musician), so we’re just pushing the honeymoon back a little bit, and honestly, want to go to Disney World and it’ll be a way better experience in September, when it’s cooler and the kids are back in school, versus the craziness of June.
We are driving 3 hours to our flight the morning after our wedding, but then will have the whole rest of the day to relax after our flight before our cruise starts. With our allotted vacation times, directly after the wedding was our only guaranteed time to go on our cruise.
We are leaving for ours the next morning. We are driving 9 hours to Disneyland. We hope to be on the road by 9 am. I wont be able to sleep in passed 730 lol. I have 4 kids and two dogs that have me up at 530 every day lol. Plus I'm going to be too excited to go to Disneyland to sleep in. Fh took off a week from work. Friday-thursday and go back to work Friday. He has worked all year on having enough PTO days for a full week. So we are driving Sunday, going to Disney Monday and Tuesday drive back weds and then he has a day to relax before he goes back to work. We really wanted to go immediately after because we wanted to go for the holidays but still have time for Christmas shopping.
