How long after your wedding are you going on your honeymoon?

Of course there is the tradition that the honeymoon starts right away...but I've known people who had to wake up at 5am the next morning to catch their honeymoon flight. No offense, but I feel like I am going to want to sleep in/digest everything and just breathe for a few days after. So, how long...

So, how long after your wedding are you going to do your honeymoon? Feel free to share where you're going/how long Smiley smile

We're having a DW (in 3 weeks!!) so we'll be short on vacation days. We haven't booked anything yet, but the plan is to do our real honeymoon in January/February. We will have a few days at the beginning and end of the week where guests won't be there so we'll get a little alone time on our DW trip too.

Wedding was on a Friday and we went on our honeymoon on a Sunday so we had Saturday after the wedding to relax, pack, run errands.

We will be going 27 days later. Enough time to get all our thank yous out, vendors reviewed, relax and refuel, and head to our cruise!

We got married on a Tuesday morning, caught a 6pm flight the next day for an international flight. We couldn’t wait to start the rest of our lives together. Ain’t nothing like a 21-hour flight to kick it off 😆

We are getting married on a Sunday. My FH recently started a new job, so he doesn’t have time off yet. So for now we plan on doing a mini-moon, leaving the following Thursday, come back Sunday.

We are having a brunch wedding on a Saturday. We haven't booked the honeymoon, yet, but ideally I'd like to leave from the reception bags packed and head straight to the airport. Everyone thinks I'm nuts lol. But I always love in movies when the bride and groom leave in their airport clothes to head off. And I really want to spend our first night married at our destination.

We're getting married August of 2019 and then going on our honeymoon the following January. It just works out best with our schedules and gives us an extra thing to look forward to after the wedding!

We are getting married beginning of Dec 2019. My fiance's current job has time off blocked from Thanksgiving through the new year every year. We work in retail and hospitality. So if she is still with this company by then, we will probably wait until late January to honeymoon. Which is no big deal to us.
