How long are you waiting to have kids after marriage?

My husband and I were discussing it and are thinking about 3-4 years. How about you?

FH and I will try for a second in 3 years or so when we figure out where we want to move to.

We want to start TTC 6 months to a year after we get married, depending on when we buy a house. I have PCOS so it will probably be difficult to get pregnant.

3-5 years. I am 25 and FH is 31. We are moving me to Europe, where he lives now, in the week after the wedding. We'd like to travel and be married and just be us for a while. Although we are aware life sometimes gets in the way, our plan is to have children when we move back to the states.

We're not waiting! I'll be 36 by the wedding and he'll be 39. We both have children from our first marriages and would like to try to have one together before we get too old!

@Rachel M, I have PCOS too. It was a long process to have my son, but so worth it! I'm gearing myself up for the journey again this time. I wish you the very best of luck!!!!

We want to wait 2 years until we start having kids. Although, I pretty much bring it up every daySmiley smile I'm 22 (I know, young) and FH is 26. I want to have 2 to 3 kiddos by the time I'm 30 so I can be a young, active mamma.

    I have no idea, I can't imagine being a parent. I'm 27 now, maybe I'll feel differently when I reach 30s.

Never...I was told I could never have a child of my own (even IFV would require donor eggs).

But I'll be the best Stepmom I know how to FH's son...just celebrated his 15th birthday today : )

And I've always been close to my nieces/nephews....so an awesome Aunt, too!

We're going to start trying late November- early December. I just had a miscarriage so I want my body to have some time to recover and also I'll be on his insurance by January which is a shit ton better than mine.

FH and I will likely wait 3-5 years. We both want kids younger but we want to have a decent amount of money saved by then and hopefully our first home. I'm also going back to school for the next 2 years so I want to be able to focus on that first!

We'll be starting TTC around our two year anniversary - so around 15 months from now. I'm about to make a career shift (fingers crossed!) and we will be house hunting in about 6 months. My bff/MOH is planning a wedding for September 2018, so I'd also like to enjoy that without being pregnant (#openbar). We'll both be 27 then, which we feel like is a good time for us.

We will probably start TTC on our first wedding anniversary. TMI? Haha. But I will have just turned 30 two months before our anniversary and we have already lived together for almost three years.

We have 2 separate plans. If I do not get the job offer I want in Kentucky then we will be waiting about a year and then start trying. Otherwise if I do get the job then we will wait 2.5 years to start trying

We don't think we will have any. But if we were (big hypothetical if) we'd wait a minimum of 3 years. We'd rather become parents once we're 30. We have no one to care for a child while we work. I will not send a child to daycare. So the only option is for a family member to care for it. Our parents are really young (still in their 40s) so they all still work. My dad is set to retire in about 3 years. So, hypothetically 3 years, but realistically probably never lol
