How long did it take to get your wedding photos from your photographers?

Our photographer sent me a "sneak peak" really late the night of our wedding. She left around 9pm and I had a "sneak peak" of some of our first look photos by the time my husband and I got back to our resort suite after the wedding around 11:30pm. We got all of the photos back within 3 1/2 weeks of the wedding. One thing I did not like is that my photographer posted our sneak peaks and all of our wedding photos to Facebook before sending my husband and I the link to look at them ourselves. I saw our full photos for the first time on Facebook after my sister and grandmother texted me telling me they loved the wedding photos and I had no idea they were even posted.

I was on my minimoon when my photographers posted our sneak peaks on social media. They weren't sent to us privately. My mom posted my photos before I even got a chance to look at them.

We received our wedding photo's 2 weeks after our wedding day and will be receiving our albums later this month or early next month. I would check my contract if I were you and double check if there was a timeline for photo's to be received.

I feel bad reaching out and asking them because they recently got married and announced they are pregnant. I'm a little bummed that Friday will be 2 months since we've been married and I still haven't received the album or video.

Hi!! UGH that is frustrating for you and that's awesome that your photographer had so many lovely life events, however, this is still their business and they should in the least be communicating with you as a customer. I would honestly reach out and ask for an update on the progress of your photo's, you have been so patient to wait 2 months already.

You shouldn't feel bad for asking for an ETA on when you can expect your pictures to be sent at this point. As a previous poster said, regardless of how many events they have booked or what's going on in their personal lives, they are running a business. If you had been spamming them with emails every week asking "where are my photos?", that would be over the top, but you've waited 2 months now so checking in is a perfectly reasonable step at this point.

I've learned an important lesson from this story - when looking over your photographer's contract, note if there is a delivery date for photos and if it isn't addressed in the contract, ask about it!
