How long did you date before you got engaged?

A year and 8 months?

Around a year and 3 months

We were dating about 2 1/2 years before we got engaged :-)

We have almost the exact same time frame as @katie f with getting engaged this past Christmas morning and just 3 weeks shy of our 4 year anniversary.

I would have to agree with @bee j in that this is a very interesting post to read with soooo many different durations and stories!!

6 1/2 years!

We dated almost six years before he proposed. we will have been together eight when we get married.

We were together 7 years when he proposed, we are now at 9.5 years

One year, have been engaged to FW for three.

Just shy of 3.5 years.

5 years.. It all started when I was in the 11th grade lol

9 years.

Just shy of four years.

Engaged Christmas Eve, after being together for 5 months. By the time we are married, we will have been together for almost a year and a half.

A few months shy of 6 years.

2.5 years.

We've been together for 7 years

Honestly I don't know. We aren't engaged we just decided to have the wedding in October so 6 / 6 and a half years maybe

5 years. We started dating when we were sophomores in college. I then went straight into graduate school for my master's degree and we waited until I graduated 2 years later.

A 1 1/2 before he finnaly poped the question but ive kno him since we were 13
