How long did you wait to announce your engagement?

We told our parents and close family and friends practically immediately and then announced on social media that afternoon after we felt everyone who should find out from us personally did. We were too excited!

I texted my bff after a few minutes, called my mom, dad and stepmom about an hour later, texted my brothers after that, and posted on fb about 5 hours later. My fiancé didn’t call his ppl til a few days later and didn’t post on fb

Within minutes haha! Called my parents right after it happened( they knew cuz the day before we left for disney he came to ask for my dad's blessing, of course he got it) I know my parents were busting to know. It happened the first night of vacation. My sister was home when I called my parents and I think my aunt and mommom were too. Then we posted it on social media right afterwards!

I didn't "announce" it really. I called the immediate fam, texted a few close friends, and then let everyone else find out through the rumor mill. 6 months after the fact I dropped an album of e-pics on Facebook, and that took care of everyone who hadn't heard yet. I don't like a lot of attention and I wanted to avoid a lot of the "Are we invited?" crap that goes with announcing.

We waited 6 months lol. Didn't want to be bugged with all the "when" "where" "why" so we waited until we decided when and where we would get married.

Sharing the e-pics on Facebook was a good idea!! I like the idea of being able to live in the moment for a while before sharing it with others.

I immediately texted my Dad and BFF and by the time I was done with that, FH had already changed his relationship status on Facebook! I quickly posted as well and that was that.

Um less then a day. I texted my family and friends cause it was late I did not want to wake them up. When everyone responded it was on FB.

Everyone in my family already knew because he asked my parents for permission beforehand, and everyone saw it coming anyways. Whenever you and your fiancé are ready to announce your engagement then go ahead, dont feel rush or pressured😊 congrats on your engagement!!

An afternoon. lol I proposed before leaving for a family day at Kennedy Space Center. So we kept it between just the fam the whole day and then exploded with calls and messages later that night!

I called my mom and FMIL right away haha I wa sos excited I wanted to cry even more but posted on social media like three days later!

We announced to family and close friends and then announced on social media a couple days later. He proposed at brews at the zoo while I was Fan girling over the giraffes.

We told everyone officially the next day! It happened later in the evening so our friends who filmed the entire thing new about it and then I told our immediate family and then didn't touch my phone the rest of the night because I was so elated!
