We became engaged on 12/20/17 and we enjoyed it with our only immediate family knowing the big news. On 12/31/17 we announced our engagement along with our best memories of 2017 social media post.

1 day . Family and close friends where told straight away, then the next day we put it on social media. We ideally wanted to wait a week to announce on social media, but he proposed on holiday and we both wanted to put pictures of the holiday up, we where aware that the rumor mill would have started working by then so didn't want random congratulations as comments on photos, so we announced sooner.
