How long did you wait to take your the test?

I was off BC for less than 2 weeks when I got pregnant. I took the test two or three days before my missed period (actually to prove that my mood swings and complete exhaustion was not a sign- figures he knows me better than I know me!).

Just make sure that for the most accurate results, pee on the stick the first time you get up in the morning (mine was at 5 am that morning).

And as for sex everyday? It is harder than you may think, but out of whack hormones can help that!

@Jass---yes yes I did get pregnant while on birth control I took religiously at 12 noon every single day for 6 years haha. Interesting story..I was a birth control baby and I had a birth control baby ;-)

I was a birth control baby, too--even if you take the Pill at the same time every day, stomach problems of any kind and a lot of antibiotics can render it ineffective.

That's why I was on the shot for years (that and I loved not having a period at all). Since it's injected straight into the bloodstream, those things don't affect it.

In general, there are VERY FEW false positives with urine tests, but false negatives are pretty common, especially early in the pregnancy. Anyone who's actively TTC might want to invest in some bulk pregnancy tests to save money. :-)

I was supposed to start on a Wednesday. I think I tested Saturday and got a faint line. A line is a line, tho. I tested again a few days later (with FH present) and the line was more distinct. We got that test from the Dollar Store. We figured if the cheapest one possible would pick up on the hormone, then there was no saying otherwise! Plus the one in the Dollar Store are pretty much the same that the dr would use for a urine test - they have to buy in bulk, etc.
