How long do LED throwies last?

Heather , on November 10, 2011 at 11:42 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 7

Hiya friends!

I've got 200 lanterns for my wedding to light (HOLY COW!) and I'm using throwies. We have the venue reserved the day before to put our decor up, but how long do throwies stay alive???

Some people say a few hours, some say a few weeks. I'm doing one battery per led light. Smiley smile

I used three lighst per battery and when I cam from the honeymoon (week) they were still glowing, not quite as bright but still on, you can make them severl days ahead of time with no problems.

I purchase bothe the lights and batteries from dealextreme

With one battery per LED light, you will have no problems at all making them the day before and just leaving them on. I actually shared the cost of some of my throwies and lanterns with two other brides, and they were still going strong at the third wedding.

@Marie S.: They don't come in a package. They are made by buying 10mm LED lights, coin-sized batteries, and tape, and putting them altogether yourself.

Thanks everyone for the feedback! I would test one myself but haven't bought all of the materials yet. Still missing the batteries! LOL <3

I didn't know if different size LED bulbs or different batteries made a difference. Smiley smile
