How long should it take to walk down the isle...?

So one of the final details I have not figure out is the song I am walking down the isle to. I can't make up my mind because I don't know if I am expected to make my walk down stretch the whole song. Do we let most of it play before I walk down? I am so lost. The music is my favorite part because I love so many types and was excited and now I am overwhelmed. It seems like a silly detail to worry about, but i can't help it! Advice, please!

BTW the bridal party will be walking to an instrumental cover of "Stand By You" and the options I am weighing are Adele "Make You Feel My Love" (piano cover), Bright Eyes "First Day of My Life" (harp cover), Jason Mraz "I Won't Give Up" (instrumental version), and Russell Dickerson "Yours" (quartet cover). TOO MANY CHOICES!!!!

That would be a really long and slow walk if you were to try to finish a whole song. The person in charge of music will phase out the song after you reach the end of the aisle.

You only play how much of the song it takes to get down the aisle, and this length is going to vary based on the length of your aisle. Please don’t make people sit and listen to most of a song before you start walking.

Agreed. How long is the aisle? Could you possibly contact the venue for the distance so that you can practice walking & see how long it takes?

Yea, I definitely don't want to make people listen to the entire thing! We are trying to keep the ceremony short and sweet. I didn't know the DJ could fade it out. I thought there would be this abrupt stop which in my mind would feel weird. I will be sure to ask her about that!

Hi Danielle! I think anywhere from 20 seconds to a minute and half is fine! Do you know how long the aisle is? Agreeing with the others the DJ can fade it out so it isn't abrupt! I loveeee "I Won't Give Up", such a beautiful song!
