How long to adjust to ring?

Krystina, on June 9, 2015 at 7:05 PM Posted in Married Life 0 8

How long did it take you to adjust to your wedding/ engagement ring? It's day 4 of my wedding ring and I am starting to adjust to it more. I didn't have an engagement ring and the last ring I had on was more than 10 years ago.

Kind of used to my engagement ring, but today I was applauding a lot during a presentation and bruised my opposite hand with my ring!! So weird.

I don't wear a lot of jewelry so it took almost a month to get used to it. Now that it's warming up outside, I can feel it hugging my finger a little bit. I have a cute little ring holder at work for when it feels just a little too snug.

It took me a week or two... It took 10 days to get resized when we get engaged (thanks Christmas and NYE...) so when I finally got it back it took a while to get used to it there. I wasn't a ring wearer either. Now I freak out if I forget I took it off!

My set together still annoys me from time to time. It took a good two months for me to adjust even a little bit

I don't wear my e-ring when I'm home. I usually head straight to the bedroom and change before I do anything and the ring and my glasses come off. I don't want to be knocking it around or taking if off every time I do things. That's how crap happens and I have a cat that likes to bat things around. I will have two wedding bands. One that goes with the e-ring and will come off when I come into the house but a plain band to wear around the house.

Im still not use to it & its been 6 months. But I haven't worn a ring (before proposal) since 8th grade. Ive had 2 or 3 real rings (not costume jewelry) in my life and I lost them all at a young age. So im extra careful w/ my ering I only wear it out. As soon as I get home it comes off & back in the box. I look forward to when I can just wear a band (I love my ring but I am scared i'll lose it). Maybe one yr after the wedding I will wear both just to show them off. But I plan on wearing the band daily and adding the ering on special days (church, dates, events)

I don't think I even needed to adjust to it. I'm always wearing rings, I currently have five on both hands combined.

I'm pretty sure when we got engaged I had to take a ring off so I could wear the ring.

I never wore rings until my FH proposed and it took me a bit to get used to.. which didn't take long, as I got to wear my ring for a week before bringing it in to be resized and my finger already felt bare. It took two weeks for my ring to be resized.
