How long until a baby?

Ugh! Posted my comment on accident without finishing it. But my soon to be hubby and I feel like waiting at least 5 years is good for us.

We were friends for 1 year, dated for 4 years (didn't live together until the wedding), have been married for 6yrs and 2 months and plan on maybe start trying around our 8yr anniversary. We got married at 22.

But if we were actually wanting a child, I feel like at least 2-3yrs is best. You want tone to just BE a couple and your own family without the trauma of childrearing for the next 18yrs.

I think we will start trying after our November 2022 wedding because we will be 33 almost 34 by then. We have been together for 12 years ( will be 13 years by the wedding) so it seems right.
