How long were you engaged?

Two years! We got engaged April 2018 and our wedding is this May

I've been engaged for six months so far and have 2 more months to go until my wedding. I think that is plenty of time to plan the wedding and I would have actually did a shorter one but I wanted it during warmer weather.

11 months engaged and the wedding is in 44 days.

We have been engaged for a year

18 months of engagement prior to our June wedding!! We will be together overall for just over 5 years when we get married.

We have been engaged for 19 months

We got engaged in August 2019 after 11 months of dating and we are getting married next month, so 8 month engagement!

View Quoted Comment Same! Our engagement is 8 months too. We really wanted to do 6 months but we couldn't make it work for us getting time off for the wedding and honeymoon! I think I would've gone crazy if I had to wait much longer. Plus, we knew my parents were moving overseas by the end of this summer so we wanted to get married long before they would have to leave!

Wow, me too! Engaged on our 7 year anniversary 7/11/19 and will marry 8/16/20.

We'll be engaged for a year and a half before our wedding! he proposed 9/12/19 and we're getting married 3/18/21. His parents were very adamant about us not getting married on a leap year, the greeks believe its bad luck.

We were actually engaged for about 1.5 years before we officially "tied the knot", but we were dating for almost 9 years before that LOL! We just made it past our first year of being married together and have been having a blast. Definitely not easy, bumps along the way, but we've also learned and grown a lot in just 1 year (we even made a podcast recently where we talk about relationships and stuff we enjoy, so much fun)!

About 23 months!

It will be right around 2 years. Long time but lots of time to plan!

364 days: Engaged aug 11 2018 and married Aug 10 2019

I never even knew it was possible to love someone as much as my FH and I are in love! We want to be married and start our own family ASAP! We got engaged in March and have 99% of our very DIY Jully 11th wedding planned/booked/ready! (YES you read right! A wedding pulled together in a couple months!) We are also ready to cut it down to our parents/siblings, officiant, and photographer so if COVID19 is still an issue we will be getting married anyways, with just a much smaller crowd than originally planned. We realllyyy want to start trying to conceive after the marriage so there's really nothing stopping our 7/11 date unless courts are somehow still closed in July and we can't get our marriage license. We are both extremely ambitious people, very versatile in what we can pull off, and make an amazing team. Also, we as a couple and my parents are crafty as heck, pulling off a very bright, happy, tropical theme! From our dyed wooden flowers that we stemmed and arranged ourselves, to the landscaping that we'll be planting in my parents backyard, to my dad building our arch, to my FH editing our music, the whole fam has really gotten into it and is so excited to see our union! I'm a pastry chef so I'm making my own cake. We have hired the restaurant we first ever ate together at to do this amazing vegan taco bar and they are providing the bar tender, and my FH's church is making authentic Indonesian food to represent his culture. We already signed contracts and put deposits in with the rental company (tent, chairs, tables, linens, tablewear, etc etc) and photographer. I also made our invites and RSVPs by hand, and ordered a few custom things like cocktail napkins with our name/dates on them. I ordered my dream dress online and it fit like a GLOVE and somehow got it for legit less than $200, no alterations needed! Basically with how incredibly smoothly planning went, the world seems to be telling us that we are meant to be married! And all well within our $10k budget! Even if we didn't have the access to my parent's beautiful backyard as our venue, we are confident we still would've pulled it off in time, within budget

We’re engaged on December 2019 plan on get legally married on June 2020. The wedding party supposed to be June 2020 too but it get postpone to September 🤨.
Anyway , my answer is 6 months engaged lol.
I know, most people will be complain that it’s too fast but the thing is we cannot living together before marriage (my parents are strict lol) and we just can’t wait to be living together 😊
