How long you and your fh been dating before getting engaged?

6 1/2 years, got engaged this month.

Best friends for 7 years (8 years in march), 4 years of dating before our engagement, and our 5 year anniversary will be 2 months after the wedding. I made him wait because I was married once before and I promised him a short engagement because he was engaged once before. Compromises lol. Despite my reluctance of tieing the knot again, we have our first child after our first year of dating and just had another this past April. I knew we would get married, I was just scared after my first experience, and I am very glad we waited because there isn't even an ounce of doubt in my mind anymore.

We had been dating for 4 and a half years before he proposed we were high school sweethearts and knew we wanted to get married a long time ago but his parents’ rule was that he had to wait until he graduated from college. So here we are getting married a month after graduation

My FH and I got engaged after being together only 9 months. He has been the best friend to one of my family members for 7 years and that's how I met him 6 years ago..problem was he was married then we talked a lot hung out he bacame my best friend..we both had feelings for each other but because he was married we went separate ways due to it not being right. After a year of not talking and only seeing each other at family events which he has always been invited to he requested me back on fb. And I knew from my family that him and his exwife were getting a divorced they announced it 6 months prior to him requesting me. So I accepted it knowing now he was single and we started talking again talking about our feelings that we have had for years and how he was determined to make me his queen. After two days of just talking he came and hung out then never left fast forward nine months got engaged then will be married in 7 months. S ok just like you two knew so did we. We have known for years. True love you just automatically know

He proposed 2 weeks before our 2 year anniversary. We're planning to get married 2 days after our 3 year.

We had been dating about 4 1/2 years when we got engaged, and then for 6 1/2 years when we got married. We met at a bar through mutual friends.

Together just shy of 1 1/2 years when he proposed and got married 1 year and 1 day later.

Just celebrated (FORGOT) our 3rd anniversary. We would likely have been engaged much sooner, but every penny we had went into a custody case that FINALLY finished up. We've been engaged since November and are planning for a June 2019 wedding.

2.5 years, it'll be 4 years when we are married!

Like, literally 2 weeks shy of 10 years dating before he FINALLY popped the question! I told him I was "NOT gonna sit around and wait on a man for 10 years before getting married..." Funny how life knocks you upside the head sometimes and says - YOU WILL DO WHAT I SAY, BROTHER (in a Hulk Hogan-voice!) Haha!

In his defense, it was only 9.999 years..., but our engagement was about a year and a half. October 27 is the big day!!!! Getting so close now, and I'm super excited!

My Fiance and I were together for 5 months before we got engaged. We also met online and knew within 2-3 months. We will make a year in September. Surprisingly, we haven't gotten a lot of negative feedback, at least not to our face. Everyone has been so supportive, I guess it helps that we are both over 35 and know what we want.
