How many apps?

How many varieties of apps did you pick for your cocktail hour? Our caterer suggests 5-6 different ones, I feel like that's a lot? How many did you all have? His food is amazing, and I'm sure he knows what he's talking about, I'm just curious.

Before our seated dinner (which will be caprese salad, steak + roasted veggies + french fries, and cake and a Belgian waffle bar), we're doing 4 passed apps.... and a nacho bar.

We currently have 3 passed apps (100 pieces for each) and we have 50 guests. Should I add a station?

We did three different types of crostini and then a charcuterie board with different meats and cheeses and fresh fruit. It was a little on the light side but the guests loved it.

We had a veg/cheese/cracker station, plus four passed apps.

We had 3 passed and a cheese, cracker and fruit display. We served dinner within 20 minutes after cocktail hour closed so people had plenty of food.

This came with our venue but I think 15 passed apps, cheese veggie and hummus station as well as a pasta station!

It was sooo much food but thats what the venue offered for cocktail hour. It was an all inclusive venue.
