How many Bridal Shower guests?

I'm planning a bridal shower and the bride's told me there are 50 people to invite...a number that her FSIL told me will apparently go UP because that doesn't even include women from his side...am I crazy in thinking that's a HUGE number of people for a shower? I was thinking more like...20-30 tops....

    I maybe looking at anywhere between 40-60 ladies. I am inviting all the ladies from church, my college friends, and family. I am inviting a couple of my mom's friends to keep her occupied lol.

    I have about 500 invited to the wedding and about 100 to the shower. We both have huge extended families and then our friends. I gave my bridal party my list of who could be invited and told them to tell me if they needed it cut down for whatever reason.

    I'm having two showers - one in my hometown and one thrown by FH's aunt because she wants to - will probably have 15ish at both...so both small. But, our invite list to the wedding is only around 75....

    I could only think of about 10 people (including my BMs) to invite to mine which is next month. However my FH has a large family so there's about 15 people coming from his side (mom, aunts, cousins etc). I am thinking maybe 20 people will show up, which to me seems like a lot but not after reading these posts... lol

    Honestly I’m on the same boat here ! I thought I was being overly thinking about this but it seems too much to be over 50 ppl…
