How many carats is your engagement ring?

Mine is 0.46 carats. FH was told not to go bigger than 0.50 carats. I love my ring and couldn't see myself wearing anything larger. It's the only piece of jewelry I wear. It's perfect for me. He catches me looking at it all the time and I think that makes him feel great. Just reassure your FH that you love your ring and wouldn't have it any other way.

Aw, just remind him that it doesn't matter what size the stone on the ring is. I would've been just as happy with a gold band as I am with my ring because that's not what matters. What matters is that we've made a decision to be together forever and build a future together and a promise to love one another through thick and thin. That's more beautiful than any stone or metal wrapped around my finger.

Honestly size doesn't matter! Plus everyone's budget is different, has different styles, and also may have jobs may limit when you can wear it. My center is 3.1ct, and I love it, but a lot of times I wear my Enzo silicone ring for ease at work & working out I love just wearing a ring on that finger as a symbol of our commitment to each other

My ring is a 2.2 carat princess cut diamond

I think mine is a little under a carat...something like .93. I love it, fh always says that we can upgrade later but I don't want to.

He shouldn't feel self-conscious at all, especially since you guys picked it out together!

My center stone is .25 and there's a ton of little diamonds throughout the band that add up to 1, so it's 1.25 total. I specifically told my FH that I did not want a plain band with a big rock, or a large center stone period -- it's just not me and doesn't fit with my other jewelry.

Plenty of people can't (responsibly) afford crazy big diamonds, or want something not so traditional. As long as you love your ring, that's all that matters!

We haven't picked out wedding bands yet, but I'm not anticipating getting anything elaborate. The one I have has plenty of sparkle. And as a PP mentioned, complimenting your ring will make your FH feel good. I've been engaged for over a year and still make comments about it to him, and I know it reassures him.

I have a quad cut (4 smaller stones in the center) and I have no idea what their carat weight is. The entire set (came with two wedding bands) is, I think, around 1.25 if I remember right. It doesn’t really matter though. FH picked it out and I love it. I can’t wait to have those wedding bands on my finger!

No carats here. My ring is sapphires instead of diamonds and I love it. As long as you love the ring that's all that truly matters!
