How many flowers for a bouquet?

Danielle, on November 25, 2014 at 2:48 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 4

I'm wanting to make my own bouquets but I have no idea how many flowers to order. I want to use roses, calla lilies, and blue galaxy orchids. I want a medium size for myself and small for my 3 bridesmaids. Any advice on how many of each flower per bouquet would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for any help.

FYI: Don't know what your floral budget is but orchids and calla lilies are going to be a pit pricey

You should also order extra in case some get damaged etc. It's better to have extra flowers than not enough. You can always turn the extra flowers into a small arrangement for the bathroom, etc.

I think for 1 medium bouquet, you could use something like 25 stems for that size of flowers, similar to what Miss to Mrs said.

Are you envisiong a round, hand tied bouquet or a cascading bouquet to highlight the orchids? Speaking of the orchids, do you want the long strands or is your vision a round bouquet with the blue orchid blooms sitting on the top of your roses and callas?

My bouquet is going to have 5 hydrangeas, 7-8 roses, and 8-9 delphinium blooms in it if that gives you an idea!
