How many hours are you renting your venue for the ceremony and reception?

Including time for setup/ teardown, how many hours are you reserving your venue to hold your ceremony and reception? My FH and I have been thinking about having our wedding near home, instead of traveling to Las Vegas. The venue I have in mind charges by the hour, with no minimum. We'd have the ceremony on the outside patio and immediately walk into the banquet room for cocktails/ appetizers for an hour and the reception for 3-4 hours. I'm trying to determine how many hours would be best to allow for cleaning up afterwards. What did you do? ETA: I plan to definitely hire someone to setup/cleanup. I'd never think to ask family/friends. The venue has table and chairs included but do no setting up. I will have a decent amount of decor. Thank you so much.

Our venue allows 10 hours on a Saturday! You can choose anytime from 10-10. So we are doing 12-10. That more then enough time to set up, get ready there, and do first look!

We had our venue for 8 hours, the caterer begun setting up at 10 AM (they set up chairs for the ceremony too), ceremony was at noon and the caterer asked us to be out by 5PM, so they would have a full hour to clean up.

My venue gives you the entire day and since we also booked our rehearsal dinner there that Friday we actually get 7pm the night before until we finish partying Saturday night. Other venues I've looked at usually give you a max of 8 hours and that's for everything, set up, wedding, reception ect.

This will vary tremendously with whether the venue is all-inclusive or bare-bones. For my event at a semi-inclusive country club: event time: 5 hours. Setup: 2 hours. Teardown: 45 minutes. But the 'teardown' is basically putting our centerpieces in bins and carrying gifts to someone's car. No messing with linens, chair covers, rentals etc. And we're staying in cabins onsite that night, so stuff only has to make it 100 yards.
