How many mini cupcakes per person?

Im handling the cake details and ive decided to have either cupcakes or mini cupcakes, but im wondering how many i should order for a group of 50-65? 100? more, less? Im thinking do people eat 2 or 3 mini cupcakes? Also, since its right at lunch im not sure what peoples appetites would be for them?...

Yea, bakers just starting to do wedding stuff and she building her portfolio so a got a killer deal

I'd say 3 per person MAX. We had mini-cupcakes at our wedding, and we got about 4 per person because we had 10 different flavors and there was a lot of time between dinner and cake, and we thought people would want to sample a bunch. I don't think our guests even ate half of them! So really I think you'd be safe with 2.5 per person, and might still have leftovers.

Also, a regular cupcake is equivalent to about two mini-cupcakes, not four.

Thats good to know! Id hate to over do it, i mean whos gonna eat all those cupcakes after the wedding? lol, not me!

Are you only doing mini cupcakes for dessert? if so I'd do 3 per person. We're doing cupcakes too but we're having a mix of big and mini, along with a candy bar. For a lunch you definitely don't need a ton people tend to eat less...

I think 2 per person would be enough as there would be other dishes also.

What cupcake tower did you buy for this, and did almost 200 cupcakes really fit on it all at once? We're doing mini cupcakes for our wedding and have a similar number, but I can't figure out what size tower we need to get! (Neither our bakery nor venue has one to rent)

Veronica we did 2 cupcakes per person displayed on the tower. Then had some extras in little boxes of 4 to take out. It was more than enough
