How many of you met online?

We met on POF but we didn't consider ourselves dating until after our first date.

I guess 'technically' DH and I met via the internet. I applied for a job and he hired me

We met on Tinder. We talked for a few days and then went out and have been inseparable ever since. Definitely didn't expect to meet anyone on tinder lol.

Met on Tinder! Texted and talked on the phone for about 2-3 weeks then finally met up. Started officially dating about a month after that.

We met on Facebook, although I was engaged to my ex at the time. When I broke up with him finally, he texted me to comfort me and we kept texting back and forth until we met in person eventually!

I met FH on POF. This was after I deleted my account and decided to give it one more try. Our storey couldn't be more unconventional and nontraditional. I saw him, read his profile, and reached out to him. He truly is the love of my life and best thing that ever happened to me. God answered my prayer in the strangest way!<3

We met on POF at 7 am on a Saturday morning and met up that same night at my sorority sister's bday party. We talked all day and decided that we didn't want to wait to see each other. And we've been inseparable since!

We met on POF. First date was 2 days later and we have been pretty much inseparable since. I moved in with him after 5 months, we got engaged 5 months later and we have been married just over a month now. I had to quit my job and move...as we lived just over an hour away from each other when we met. Totally worth the move.

We met through a mutual friend I had met in an plus size forum. (I can't remember the name of it). FH was in the friends group of friends that I'd "hang out" with and play co-op games with online. We didn't meet in person until maybe six months after we first started talking.

We met in person in March ' 15 and began seeing each other at the end of April 2015 and I moved from Vermont to be with him in May of that year.

We don't tell people how we really met or how quickly we got together because we'll it's embarrassing and I know I'm worried that some how it will seem less real to some people.

I don't take any of it back though. It led me to the love of my life.

I know a lot of ppl who have married ppl they have met online. Somehow when I tried it, though, I only met creepers or weirdos. Lol. Congrats on your success. I'm glad that we have that platform for meeting people now (even if it didn't work for me).

We also met on Tinder! I flaked out on our first date, but luckily he didn't give up and got me to reschedule

FH and I met on Match.com. We messaged online and texted for about 2 weeks before meeting in person. We dated for 13 months before getting engaged and will be engaged 11 months. I did online dating because I'm an engineer so I'm around men all the time so I typically go straight to friends with guys out of habit. With online dating you know that people are there with the intention of dating.

Pof. I was giving up on the site because of sick people on there so I was on my last straw and decided last minute to give him a shot and planned to shut down my account so we spoke off and on for awhile on the site the last straw night I agreed to a date with him and it was love at first site history ....And so was pof . We now have a 14 month old son and our wedding will be May 20 2017 we now have a blended family of 4. I am so blessed to have him in my life.

FH and I met on eharmony. We talked for about 2 weeks on there then exchanged numbers. About a month in he ghosted but turns out he dropped his phone while training in Virginia haha. We met for the first time shortly after he got back which was June 11,2015. We didn't become "official" until the 4th of July though. Exactly one year from our first meeting/date he proposed where we had first met!

We met on geek 2 geek! We started talking at the beginning of may 2014 and had our first date may 13th. We consider the date the official start of our relationship

We met on Tinder. I swiped right and 2 days later we met IRL. We were official a month and a half after that and will get married in a year and a half.

@DWBride That's exactly what FH and I tell people. We just don't like the side eyes.

I did!! We met on Plenty of Fish. I did tons of online dating and met some great guys. Only one keeper though :-) We emailed for about a month and talked on the phone and texted for another month. Usually I do not like to wait that long to meet someone. Finally I just asked him if we were ever going to meet. Our first date was an A's game and it was awesome. We still talk about seeing each other for the first time. Here's a picture my friend got.

I had finally kicked my no good f boy ex to the curb for good and rejoined tinder after being off and on for about a year with it. A couple weeks after I was ready to finally start dating for real I had scheduled a couple dates in the same weekend. He was the first one.

We talked for about a week. He came and visited me at my bar tending job the day before our first actual date and then the next morning we went out on a mountain adventure which was supposed to be just going to a city about an hour away and getting some food and heading home. We were driving through the mountains for over 12 hours, got lunch, dinner, and ice cream. Took a dodge challenger up some sketchy dirt road mountain passes too.

It was awesome.

A couple dates later we considered ourselves boyfriend and girlfriend and one year to the date of that he proposed in the same place we first met face to face.
