How many of you met online?

We met on OKCupid, but I was only on there because I was mad at another dude I was dating casually. I wasn't planning on going on any dates, but he was too good to pass up. :-) I consider our first in person date to be when we started dating, but it was only a couple days after he first messaged me anyway.

I met my FH on facebook while he was deployed over seas. It just happened we actually lived only 10 minutes away and even went to the same high school at one point but never met until we were hundreds of miles away lol.

We met via a meetup group so I guess technicaly we met online

I met FH on a app named tagged. I was just separated from my XH and was looking for a friend. We talked on the app for about 2 weeks and figured out we lived 5 minutes from each other. One day while texting I asked him to just come over and we have been inseparable since. We are getting married 2 days after our 5 year anniversary!

We met on a sport bike forum. So on line. But not a dating site, mutual interest and all.

I met my hunny online in 2007 through mutual friends on...wait for it...MySpace!!! We found each other serendipitously not really on purpose!

We met on OKC and talked nonstop for about a week and a half, did group dates the first 3, we became officially dating about a month and a half after initial contact. We recently had our 3 year anniversary, and will have been dating almost 4 years when we get married.

My FH and I met on POF 2 months after he moved to FL from Seattle. For the longest time, he told his friends we met at Starbucks (haha) but now we just embrace it.

We didn't meet on a dating site but we met through tumblr! He messaged me one day telling me he liked my blog....I thought he was cute.... And then realized he was from Australia lol. We kept talking and skyping anyway though and 7 months later he flew to the US to visit me!

We met on POF....I was only on the site for a week before I met my husband...and cancelled my account the week after we met lol

I met my FH on match.com! I didn't think it would work out at first but he wasn't my type but here we are 3.5 years later and getting married in April!

We met on tumblr! I posted art and he commented. He and I are both very introverted so it's hard for us to talk to people in real life, so we were grateful for meeting online. We count the day that we first confessed our attraction towards each other as the day we started dating, not the day he commented on my art.

I'm glad we met online though. We've had many conversations that I KNOW I would have been to shy to bring up in person, and now that we've talked about those intimate and awkward things, it's easier for us to talk when we're together in person.

We met on OKCupid. We consider our first date/meeting to be our dating anniversary. We didn't spend too much time chatting before we decided to met. It did take me two weeks to respond to his initial message because I was dating someone else from okcupid and wanted to see if that was going anywhere, it wasn't so I messaged FH back and we had our first date like a week after that.

We met on Plenty of Fish. I actually messaged him because I thought he looked like my neighbor's cousin who would come hang with us on the weekend. Turned out to be FH, who was even better (neighbor's cousin was kind of a jerk growing up).

One time before we met he messaged me at 2 a.m. saying "hey you up?" I groaned because I thought he was going to be pervy and ask for a nude. I was pleasantly surprised when he said "I just couldn't sleep and wanted to talk to you. Also, I might be going snowboarding tomorrow. Care to join me?" There was just something really sweet about it.

I wouldnt say that we "met" online. Our paths had crossed numerous times since we went to the same college but we never really talked much. We reconnected on POF. Honestly I only agreed to meet him b/c I knew of him in college.

I was only on the site 4 days and was still checking it out, but hey i guess 4 days was all we really needed.
