The day before was completely on the go between the rehearsal, rehearsal lunch, getting a mani/pedi with my MOH, having our engagement photos taken with our photog (our photog was from out of state so it was the only time we could do them), and then going out to a bar with a few people.

We had a daytime wedding so we went from a very busy day before to immediately being on the go to get ready for the wedding. The wedding was from 12-4 and we stayed after to continue taking photos. We finally got back to our hotel room around 6:30 and we were completely and totally exhausted. I felt like a zombie. The rest of the evening was spent napping and relaxing in our room.

By the next morning we had to check out and drive 8 hours back to Massachusetts but we at least started to recover by then.

ME! Our wedding was at 5, so the reception went until 12. Got to our hotel at 12:30, then we had some problems checking in. I literally sat in the lobby crying that I just wanted to go to sleep while my husband fixed everything. But after consummating our marriage I was wide awake Smiley winking we actually had a mcdonalds run at like 2am because nobody let me sit down and eat at the wedding!

Then the next few nights I was honestly asleep by 9pm! Well worth all the fatigue though!

We were worn out the next day. The two days leading up to the wedding were crazy. Between guests arriving, decorating, DIYing our flowers/centerpieces, rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, and spending time with my bridesmaids, I didn't get much sleep. The day of the wedding was just as busy. The day after the wedding, we opened our gifts with family and a few friends, then went back to our hotel and took a long nap. We were in bed by 8:00 even with the nap.

We were exhausted also. The day before was busy with rehearsal and last minute stuff. I didn't sleep well the night before and then the day of the wedding we started at the venue getting ready at 10:00am for a 6:30pm wedding. Wedding went until after midnight and then we left for honeymoon at 3:00am to catch a 6:00am flight to get on the cruise ship. I was basically up for 48 hours before finally crashing about midnight on sat. We had a perfect day and was tons of fun but yes exhausting.

We are wiped today, too, Chrissy. We went to breakfast with my folks this morning before they left town, returned tuxes, hit the grocer for a few things, and spent the whole afternoon just chillin'.

I didn't feel too overwhelmed during the actual event. I hope your day went really well, dear!!

Well, seeing how I didn't sleep the night before, yes, of course I was exhausted! My day 'officially' started at 930 when I picked up my hairdresser, wedding wasn't till 7pm, I got to the hotel around 1pm, and even though I was exhausted, I was wired (and my photographer already had a sneak peak up on her blog!)

The next day was exhausting too, but so glad we took that day to relax before leaving for our honeymoon on Monday. One of the best decisions ever.

I definitely was! Then again, our wedding really went on for a week. It was:

Sunday: Drive from our home in Maryland to Massachusetts.

Monday: Get the court waiver of the three-day waiting period for the marriage license, get the marriage license itself, pick up a friend from the airport, get manicures, meet with the rabbi, have the rehearsal dinner, stay up until 5:00 AM dealing with a friend whose flight was delayed (and whose dog was already with us).

Tuesday: Decorate the ceremony location and get ready, ceremony, luncheon following the ceremony, and dinner back where we were all staying.

Wednesday: Breakfast, then drive from Massachusetts back to Maryland.

Thursday: Spend all day decorating the at-home reception venue.

Friday: Spend the day decorating the at-home reception venue, then the evening at the at-home reception. Begin clean-up after midnight.

Saturday: Return to the at-home reception venue to pick up stuff that wouldn't fit into our car the night before.

After all that, I was very happy, but ready to collapse!

OMG I have never been so tired in my life!!! The two or three weeks leading up to the wedding, I didn't eat really at all so my dress fit but it was looser than I wanted it to be. I had to stay up the night before the wedding until 2am because we never printed out the table arrangements so I hand wrote them all and at that point I didn't care if it wasn't professionally done. I had to wake up early too and go to the ATM to get cash for the vendors. Like everyone else, I didn't eat at all at the wedding and when I got back to the hotel, I finally snacked on the bagels I ate for breakfast that morning while getting ready. I think I crashed around 10pm at the wedding, right after dinner because all of a sudden i was aware of the bags under my eyes and I just felt physically exhausted from all the photos. When I finally sat down in the hotel room I couldn't get back up I was so sleepy!! I almost fell asleep in my dress! but after such an amazing day I didn't mind at all!

I was wired. My wedding was at noon and the reception was done at 6. We had a 3 hr break before an afterparty at 10. Even though I was dog tired, I couldn't go to sleep.

I was so exhausted and never so happy to see my bed after 5 days of being away. First, I maybe got 5 hours of sleep the night before. Was up at 5:30 a.m. the day of to be in the hairdresser's chair at 6:30 a.m. Ceremony was at 12:30 p.m. Photos after and reception was at 6:30 p.m. and we stayed until the 2:15 a.m. Got back to the hotel, was an issue with the limo driver, got it sorted out and finally got to bed at 3:00 a.m.; so like 21 hours of being up. Was awake by 9:00 a.m. the next day, saw some people off, consummated our marriage and then went to the gift opening and luncheon at my parents house, then had a BBQ dinner and cake at my MOH's house (it was her birthday the next day), finally got to sleep around 10:30 p.m. that night. It was so nice to come home later on Monday and finally get two days of rest and relaxation.

Yes! I have been tired since we got back from the Homeymoon. I was tired during the honeymoon.. Planning at full tilt plus working plus trying to earn extra for the wedding on side gigs plus working out 5 days a week, meal planning, keeping up with chores...all of that suddenly being done (not the exercise/meals/working stuff)? I’m just now starting to feel like myself but it’s in fits and starts. I am probably going to see my Dr just to be sure it’s not a deficiency because I was starting to fizzle out pre wedding. We are not having kids so I know that’s not it (we are getting older and it’s not reasonable, we didn’t find each other until our 30’s and married 8 years later - both of us had never been married). A friend of mine in a high stress job suffers from adrenal fatigue and I’m wondering if all of us snap out of wedding planning a little sapped and it takes time to recover the adrenal system. Anyway, Dr may help.
