How many people are using your pets in your wedding?

Anyone else using your own pets, and what part are they going to play?

We don't be using him in the wedding, but we are trying to figure out a sitter for him, but someone who isn't invited to the wedding, to be able to bring him when we do pictures in a tuxedo....that is the difficult part. The people I trust will all be at the wedding, so we still have to figure out those details!!

Our Bernese mountain dog is going to be our ring bearer. Our florist is making him a little thing of fake flowers to put on his collar and the BM is going to walk him down the aisle. Smiley laugh We love our baby and he is very much so apart of our little family so it doesn't feel right to not have him there.

I was thinking of doing this too, but my American Pitbull Terrier gets SO excited when she's around people. I'm wondering if it would be too much for her Smiley sad

I'd love to take some pictures with her the day of but am not sure how to make it work!

I so badly wish my two dogs could have somehow been in my wedding but like other people have said...they are just SO excited around people...bark, want to be pet, would run around everywhere. They wouldn't hurt a fly..they just get SO excited. They are my world though so they were both in our engagement pictures & we chose one with them in it as our save the date so they could kind of have a little moment Smiley smile

My dog, a Dogue de Bordeaux (like Turner in Hooch) is now practicing to be our flower girl (no attendants - just her) BUT she is not 'getting it.' I give her a basket to carry and she won't. I gave her a flower and she ran around the house with it. I'm pretty sure she will just be there for a few pictures and then my sons best friend will drive her home for us. Every few days we practice. It will be so cute of she is successful because being a Mastiff, she isn't very girly looking. I love all these dog pics of your dogs at your weddings.

I am having a hotel reception downtown, but lucked out because the hotel happens to be dog-friendly! Needless to say, my beloved teacup Pomeranian will be making a guest appearance at the reception after dinner. A friend of the family is a professional groomer and pet sitter, so she's going to be babysitting the dog and walking her around that night while she's at the wedding.

I'd say that almost all of my couples who have pets either have them IN the wedding or mentioned in the ceremony.

You have GOTTA post pics, @Robin! Your dog is so freakin' cute. I love my English Mastiff but she's a) huge and b) takes huge dumps. I'd be horrified if she copped a squat as she was trotting down the aisle.

Thanks @LightBlueGem - your dog is pretty cute too. Remi will be too busy greeting everyone to take a dump. LOL. I HOPE.
