Mine will be around 25, but it all depends on your bridal party. If you have a larger bridal party with families your number is going to be larger. We only have 4 on each side and only 3 of them are married and will have dates so ours is not as big.

In lieu of a rehearsal dinner, since it is a DW, we are having a welcome dinner for 60, and I am cooking.

Wow that is a lot lol. Are they all involved in wedding planning? We had 12 even I had a maid of honor and my husband had two groomsmen. Who are you inviting to rehearsal? Is FS parents paying for rehearsal dinner?

For our rehearsal dinner we are looking at about 20 to 25 people. Still looking for what to do. Since its coming out of the pockets of my FH and my own, and the wedding is as well, we have to be creative.

I'm also at 25. We are doing attendants and their SOs, officiant and his wife, parents, my step-children, day of coordinators, reception MC and US!

    .

We were going to do a really swanky restaurant and my mom suggested that we go somewhere real "regular" like Golden Corral or IHOP and take really nice table cloths and centerpieces and just have it in the middle of their restaurant. Not even in a private room! She said the quirkiness of it would be half the fun and since I am putting out more than $50/head the next day, it would save me a slew of money. I am not committed but I like the originality of it.

I am having about 25-35 not to many mainly the bridal party and the parents. If you have out of towners you will want them there to. I don't have any of those though. I want to have it some where cheap but its really hard to do the best quote so far is 650 dollars ugh! But the american legion hall charges 100 dollars and I found a cater that will do home cooked food at 5.95 per person now that is a deal I just am really trying to be comfortable with the hall considering its... well... its just a hall and nothing else.

Am I selfish to only want my bridal party and officiant there, even though I know I'll have to invite significant others...so probably 20 or so....

Wow carole, cooking for 60!! you are an inspiration, I get stressed cooking for more than 4.

@mrs cupcake, yes they are all involved...but I have included the band (7 people), the dj, our officiant, and two friends who aren't involved...FH and I are footing the bill for everything so yes dinner for 50 is overwhelming me.

We are having an informal BBQ and gathering at our house

Rehearsal will be at 4pm, and everyone will work their way to our house after.

95% of our guests are from out of town, so it's basically going to be a meet and greet for everyone. Also we have decided it's not going to be a set time, however a staggered feast. We are looking at approx 70-80 people who will actually stop in.

We'll have between 30 and 35, we have 4 BMs 4 GMs 3 FGs and 2 RBs plus 2 ushers, and 2 program attendants. We'll also be inviting our parents, our officiant, my older sister and her husband, and SOs for our bridal party.

We are having about 50-70 people. Since we are having a destination wedding, I want to include everyone that is making the trip to Atlanta. We are only expecting 100 for the wedding.

@Ms.L.....Why thanks, but no, I have no choice. It is one of the ways we are cutting the budget. I am doing comfort foods that I can basically prep ahead and heat....baked mac and cheese, roast beef and gravy, roast pork in gravy, chili. It is actually weather dependant and how many guests are riding to the venue, as opposed to towing.

If I had one wish, I would be buying platters/trays from anywhere. I don't want to do the cooking. I can add though that the FH is a former chef for Trump Casinos. I normally don't let him in my kitchen, but I will be putting his behind to work. Smiley smile

@Carole, Oh I see, gotta do what you gotta do sometimes. Again you impress me though, if I had a chef for a FH I would play dumb lol! I stayed @ the trump in vegas last year for 10 days...best chicken wings ever!

@Ms.L.... Dang, why didn't I think of that? Seriously,I am a self-admitted control freak. Re the wings...I will tell him. He worked/cooked in Atlantic City, but at the end of his career, pre-burnout, he also traveled and set up other kitchens.

My daughters rehearsal dinner count was 18.

The grooms mother (well okay, her boyfriend) paid for this, after I asked if she planned to do one.

This, ahem lady, made sure that she and the bridal party were at one long table, while my ex, his wife, my sister and I were at a table off on our own. Hmph! My ex, his wife and I paid for the entire wedding and I paid for the honeymoon. Yet, we were at the "kids table". LOL!

Oh, and, she made us pay for our own drinks (three of us had two, one had one) yet she and her family drained us of free wine at the wedding, even though they do not like wine. Oy!

PS, the rehearsal dinner is meant for those who need to be at the rehearsal. If you add to that, it is your choice, but not "required".
