How many reserved spots do i need for a catholic ceremony?

Danielle, on February 7, 2021 at 6:59 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 10
I am having a catholic ceremony with a full catholic mass - I know I have to have a reserved section in the front. Is it the first two rows on each side? And if so, who sits there? Is the front row for the wedding party and the second for family?

I think it depends on the length of the pews. I was in a Catholic wedding (it was a sped up mass - around 45 mins instead of the full hour) and we only went to our seats when it was time to kneel and go up for Communion. We stood at the front the rest of the time. The pews were pretty long so the bridal party sat right next to the parents in the first row

Are you talking as a bridesmaid or a guest?

Sorry, as a bridesmaid! Parents normally sit in the front row, but it can really be whatever you want/whatever logically makes sense with the flow of your ceremony.

The lady from the church who coordinated our wedding asked about family members and who we wanted to sit where. I think we had the first 2 rows reserved. Parents and siblings, and bridal party first row, grandparents second row

I’m having a catholic wedding (not a full mass), but a majority of my friends also got married in the Catholic Church. We are reserving the first two pews on either side. First pews will be for our immediate family (if yours is large you may need the first two rows), bridal party sits behind them.

My brother and sister-in-law had a Catholic mass and I believe they reserved the first two pews on either side - first row for the wedding party, second row for the parents, siblings, and grandparents. It'll honestly depend on the size of the pews and number of people!
