How Many Rose Petals (pic)

Courtney, on July 20, 2014 at 9:00 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 12

How many silk rose petals do you think I need to do something like this? Has anyone done anything similar at their wedding? Are we talking 6,000 petals or 20,000 petals or more? I really have no idea how to gauge this!

I'm not sure. This is really beautiful, but have you considered that your train will ruin it?

Thanks, Teagan. My dress actually doesn't have a train (it's ball gown style). I'm not too worried about the petals getting scattered, though. I am mostly interested in the aisle looking nice as guests enter the ceremony venue.

The SLIGHTEST bit of wind, will also ruin it before you even walk down it. LOL

But, I would guesstimate a bag per foot....however here is an online tutorial that is supposed to show how to estimate. Smiley winking

I'm looking to do this also. Just thinking it'll get ruined by bridal party before I even walk down aisle is my concern lol.

Look up rose petal aisle runners. You might be able to find an aisle runner with these petals already attached to it so you wouldn't have to worry about wind. I came across this website last night when looking for aisle runners myself: http://petalhappy.com/products_petal_cutouts.php

To know how many rose petals you would need you need to get a length measurement of the aisle then maybe do a test run in a open space in your house or your backyard to see how many you need. The above poster had a good idea in finding a run with the rose petals on it or you can make it yourself with muslin/burlap, a glue gun and rose petals.

My ceremony is indoors, so I'm not concerned about wind. Thank you for the link @Kat!

One more link! haha sorry http://www.petalgarden.com/petalcalc.htm

It is a petal calculator put in all the details and it'll tell you roughly how many petals you will need

I am going to make a full petal aisle runner, 3-4 feet wide by 50 feet long and I'm thinking around 20,000-25,000 petals.
