How many signs are you having?

HereComeTheYorks, on May 9, 2015 at 6:53 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 20

I found the perfect frame to match our wedding. Now the question is how many do I need???

What are you using for signs and what are you signing?

Thanks Hobby Lobby for the 50% off sale! Smiley smile

Cute! I'm using my hashtag sign, ISpy, and "Choose a Seat, not a side" Possibly a bar sign but the jury is still out on that.

We will have 1 at the ceremony that says "As two families become one, we ask that you please choose a seat, not a side."

At the reception we will have 3. 1 by the escort cards since most of FH's family hasn't been to a wedding in over 15 years and may just pass by it not knowing what it's for. 1 by our parents' and grandparents' wedding portraits that say "Family, where life begins and love never ends." And 1 by our Bucket asking people to give us suggestions of something we should add to our bucket list.

    We are doing:

    - a large chalkboard easel as a welcome sign or choose a seat/not a side (haven't decided yet haha)

    - "please take one" for programs

    - "please sign our guestbook"

    - instagram hashtag (2)

    - bar signs (2)

    - "cards & gifts" for gift table

We were just discussing this today. We will have a sign for our doughnut flavors on the dessert table, one for our advice cards, possibly one at the bar if the caterer doesn't have one, and possibly a welcome sign of some sort.

I'm having way too many signs, but we're in the IDGAF stage lol. The venue already has the choose a seat sign, then there's the "if heaven wasn't so far away" sign. Then the sign for the food.... A sign for the bar... Guest book sign.... Cards sign.... Well wishes cards sign... We are also making frames with chicken wire backs to clothes pin old pictures of us, and we're making another if we have a seating chart. So many little projects and no patience to get them done lol

I am overdosing on the signs I fear. I have three directional sign, a welcome to the wedding sign, three signs with romantic phrases, a card & gift sign, a sign to honor all the loved ones who have passed in the family, a cake display sign, and wooden letters that spell "LOVE" that will be displayed in the garden area where the ceremony will be held.

We have a couple signs that say "reception" with an arrow pointing the way, then we have a welcome sign in the doorway explaining the schedule of events for the evening(in lieu of the more expensive option of programs), then a sign on the guestbook table and one on the card/gift table

Guestbook, hashtag, ceremony program, and 2 bar signs, and if I'm feeling ambitious this week of my wedding then food signs (having menus at every seat so not sure if I'll do that)

I have to think about this too.

-No sign needed for signing our guest book

-Sign at bar instructing people to use drink tags with their wine glasses

-a thank you sign on my gift table

-possibly a large poster style sign at the entrance of our ceremony space saying welcome to the wedding of.........

    -Possibly sign with instagram hashtag

I will have signs pointing out where the ceremony and reception are(supper bummed about the reception venue. Growing up they had the marquee with congratulations, now it's just name of the place :-( ) I may have a sign for what is included with the buffet and small ones by the food. With have reserved tables so they get signs. I somewhat want a big sign fir the program with the bridal party info on it. I will not have signs fir the cards, just Gibb to place a few fake ones in their and people will get the hint.

We will have signs for the bar, stations, and cake table listing options. No desire to make or display others. Guests do know what is going on without them and they are very impersonal in that guests are expected to consult a sign rather than talk to a human.

I'd like to diy my signage with old rustic frames from goodwill. I'm planning on having a sign for parking, one for the seating chart, a guestbook/gifts table sign and maybe a program sign with start and end times for the ceremony and reception.
