How many weddings do YOU have to go to this year?

I have a wedding reception the weekend after our wedding. My MOH is in 3 weddings this year, her calendar is very full, I can't imagine 7!

We are attending two weddings other than our own this year, and they are within one month of each other. One is my MOH's wedding that FH and I are both in.

I have to go to one in May, my FH's best friend since kindergarten. My cousins wedding in June, to a girl he already has three kids with and has been dating almost 10 years, a life ceremony in September for my best friend and his boyfriend, my own wedding in October, and my other best friends wedding in December. I never want to go to another wedding again after this year.

We have 3 so far for this year. Luckily they will be pretty spread out time wise and are all in places I am excited to visit!

We have 5 to go to but I can't complain. A friend of mine has 12.

None for us. I suppose that is one of the advantages of being "mature."

Wow. Are they single? I only ask b/c in our twenties before we met, FH and I averaged 4 weddings/year EACH. If we had been together back then, that probably would have been about right. Thankfully we're getting older and the wedding train is slowing down so now we average about 4 weddings/year with both of our families/friends combined. I love weddings but I don't think I could take 8 weddings/year for another decade. It's nice to use vacation time and travel money for actual vacations without feeling guilty about skipping people's weddings to afford it.

This year it looks like 4 including ours lol. I don't know why 4 is the magic number, but it seems to work out that way almost every year.

So far we have 2, both in September. One is our friends' wedding over Labor Day weekend and the other is my cousin at the end of Sept.

3....... and I'm in them all! ay-ay-ay

None, and I haven't been to a wedding in probably 20 years. The last 2 weddings I was invited to, something came up (death in the family both times) and I had to miss

This year we only have 2 including ours (thankfully). Last year we had 6 and the whole summer felt like a constant trip to weddings.

1 so far this year (in November), but we had 5 last year (including our own). 3 of those were within the 30 days surrounding our wedding: 1 was a month before ours, 1 was 2 weeks before ours, and one was 2 weeks after ours.

I have one about 3 weeks after my wedding.....that is it so far

We only have one other wedding to go to, so far this year, and it's 2 weeks after ours.

Another reason to love being old. We have one on Memorial Day Weekend. But, with 6 grown children between us, they should start happening sometime soon.

I just have mine I haven't been to a wedding in about 5 or 6yrs.

My DOC and BM are both in relationships - I bet they total about 3-4 per person and then they are both invited.

I bet I will have to start going to them in the next 2 years when all our partnered friends start tying the knot. My FH always jokes that he apologizes to our guy friends for starting the "trend".

I'll have to start a savings account for weddings - one friend is spending over 10,000 in all her wedding travel and gifts and such.

You ladies are troupers!
