How much did you spend on flowers?

I'm looking for a ballpark figure of how much to budget for flowers and what a reasonable amount is. I'd like to have real flower bouquets and some kind of floral decor too. My wedding will be in Kingston, Jamaica so not resort prices.

We're spending about 3500 for 16 table centerpieces (8 high/8 low), 8 bouquets (bride, five bridesmaids, and two junior), 10 boutonnieres, and 2 corsages. This easily could have been more, but we got a discount on tall centerpieces for going with our wedding planner's preferred florist.

Spending about $3,000 (before, tax , delivery and setup fees) in Michigan. This is for bouquets, boutenierres, ceremony arrangements and centerpieces. We're doing floral centerpieces on about half of the tables and floating candles on the other half to save.

We're doing real flowers for the wedding party and faux for decor. The florist is doing my bouquet, 2 corsages, 7 boutineers, and 3 bridesmaids bouquets for $540 (Each item is mostly hydrangeas ).

So far on faux flowers, I've spent $100ish (30ish stems) and am planning to use a few gift cards I've been hoarding for when various craft stores have sales.

About 10% of your budget should be spent on flowers, give or take depending on how important florals are to you and how many you need.

We spent $2,000 - that included my bridal bouquet (roses, hydrangeas, delphinium blossoms), a garland of greens and hydrangeas for the ceremony arch, 8 BM bouquets (hydrangeas and baby's breath) which we also used as our short centerpieces, 8 tall centerpieces (hydrangeas, roses and baby's breath) with tall pilsner vases, 10 bouts, 2 corsages (roses). That included delivery to 2 locations - the hotel and the wedding venue. We spent an additional $75 on 5,000 rose petals from BJs to line the aisle (it was SO much cheaper than through our florist!).

$900 for 7 bouquets, 11 boutonnieres, flower girl flowers, and flowers for MOB and grandmothers, and a little bit of flowers for my outside venue. My reception already had flowers I'm gunna stick with.

I'm in NYC and paying just under $3k for bridal bouquet, four bridesmaid bouquets, a couple corsages, two altar arrangements, and 10 centerpieces. I had to shop around, most of the florists I contacted were going to charge a lot more.

This depends on a lot of different factors, but keeping it within the "few hundred dollars" range will be tough!!

It's better here to compare individual item pricing vs. the grand total.

In NC, here was my pricing:

    Bridal Bouquet - $200

    Bridesmaids Bouquets - $80 each

Large Floral Arrangements for the church - $300 each

Decorative Flowers for Cake Table - $25

Single Blooms for Cocktail Tables - $10 each

We also had 3 different floral centerpiece styles that differed in price:

Big Tall Floral Centerpieces - $150 each

Low Floral Centerpieces - $125 each

Centerpieces re-purposing the bridesmaid bouquets - $65 each

The biggest place that you'll be able to save money (or spend too much) is with the 11 centerpieces you need. You can request cheaper flowers and smaller arrangements (in terms of size and volume) to try to bring the cost down, also you can opt for more greenery or choose big blooms like hydrangeas that give a lot of volume for a cheaper price point. Also I'd try to keep the church decor minimal, or have a plan to re-use the church flowers for the reception as well!

I'm in Maryland. For 1 bridal bouquet, 1 BM bouquet, 4 boutineers, 2 corsages, 2 large Pergola arrangements at ceremony site, small arrangement inside a lantern on 10 tables and filling 2 small bud vases per table I was quoted $1300.00. We worked that down to $670.00 by switching the lantern arrangement to 1 large Dhalia per lantern and making the Pergola arrangements smaller.

My co worker is going more traditional with floral centerpieces etc and is spending $3000.00

My venue comes fully decorated, including centerpieces, so I'm only getting bouquets, corsages, boutonnières, and some ceremony arrangements. Costing around $700.

We are paying a florist $450 for bridal bouquet, 6 bridesmaid bouquets, 2 wristlets, 4 corsages and flowers for the cake. Including delivery. We spent $90 on bulk flowers from Costco to put in our skinny milk glass vase centerpieces. In an unlimited budget world I would've had full out floral centerpieces but we are paying for our own wedding and definitely could not afford the $3000+ and I'm ok with that and happy with our flower decisions Smiley smile

Ouch! Some of these prices! I'm a little shy of 1500 but some is included in my venue.

So this is a big ballpark. Whereabouts are you located? That can narrow it down.
