Hi girls! So I am in the process of selecting my dress and I know exactly what I want when I see it. This wasn’t the exception, I saw the beautiful dress by Berta and I completely fell in love. Hi girls!
So I am in the process of selecting my dress and I know exactly what I want when I see it. This wasn’t the exception, I saw the beautiful dress by Berta and I completely fell in love. What wasn’t so lovely about it? The price, it is about $6900 in most stores. I gave up on it but whenever I went to try dresses I kept looking for something that looked like that and, not surprisingly, they just didn’t compare. A few months passed and today I found a great deal which is still pretty out if my budget ($3000) but was priced about 35% less than the original price. It is from a trustworthy boutique and they assured me it has all the tags, it even it’s my size! Anyways, the point is that I am not sure if I could justify spending so much on a dress I am only wearing for a few hours. Any advice? How much did you spend on yours?

I was between two dresses that were $900-$1050 and ended up ordering a completely different dress on stillwhite.com that was originally more than both of them for $570.

Mine was $862. My original budget was $600, but my mom surprised me by saying they were paying for the dress and raised my budget :o I couldn’t even begin to consider spending over $1000 for a dress I’ll only wear once, as is $862 feels insane, especially when my whole budget is $10-15k

I didn’t want to spend over $1000. I found one that was $1500 and I didn’t want to try it on because i knew i would love it and it was over budget. My Best friend convinced me to try it on. It fit perfectly and it made me cry so i knew it was the one. Luckily I had a great support team with me that offered to help pay for the dress so i could get the dress of my dreams. Now i can’t wait for my wedding to show it off!

    Hello,
I spent about 1,300 including veil! I was a happy camper because I really didn't want to spend a lot on a dress I'll wear once plus I really love the dress!

I was also on a smaller budget for my dress. A lot of the nicer gown shops in my area typically start at about $2000 and I wasn't wanting to spend quite that much. I was a little worried about starting my gown hunting journey, because I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find a beautiful, high-quality dress that was also in my style at lower end shops. I ended up shopping the samples at my dream boutique and I found my dream dress for $1300 and it was originally $5975! I would shop around a little more; try samples if you can to get that higher-end feel you might be attracted to. Ultimately, if that is YOUR dress, you may sacrifice a little budget-wise, but to feel your absolute best on your wedding day I think is worth it.

Before I ever looked at dresses my budget was $1500, once I went and looked around that went out the window. I ended up spending close to $3,000 (then alterations are going to be probably over $1000). I have no advice other than get something you feel super beautiful and confident in. Yes, you only wear the dress once but the photos are forever so make sure you love it!

I got a calla Blanche wedding dress for about $1,700 with taxes! The boutique that I purchased from had a deal going on that weekend, also had another deal for first responder brides! It normally would’ve been $2,500 before taxes!

I bought my dress online from Etsy. I tried on two dresses prior and fell in love with the third. I paid $302 and had it made to my measurements so I don't need to have it altered.

I spent close to 4k, but originally wanted to stay around 2k. I had a change of heart when I found the one! I was able to afford the rest so I made the decision to fork it over! I am only getting married once so my personal choice was to go for it!

My original budget was $3000 but I ended up paying $600 for a designer Calla Blanche that I fell in love with at a discounted showroom! With alterations it was under $1000 so I decided to get a Morilee reception dress that I found for less than $500 Smiley smile having 2 absolutely breathtaking dresses makes me so excited!

My first dress I thought was the one was $500 from David’s Bridal, which was right at my initial budget. I kept shopping at other boutiques and found “the one” for $900 and got the owner to bring it down to the online price at $740. Don’t forget about alterations and accessories! I’m using Etsy to keep those costs down. Have you tried looking at pre-owned dress sites?
