How much did you spend on your dress?

How much did everyone's dress cost? With all the alterations and an unexpected expense (petticoat), my dress is about $1050. I think it's a bit much. This is what I get for wanting a pink dress. If I had gone the traditional route, I could've found something much cheaper. Oh well.. At least it's...

Around $1900 for my dress, $150 for my veil. I have no idea what alterations are going to be--I'm picking it up next week.

I'll be getting a Couture dress with a unique design and handmade. Smiley smile

Currently it's just a sketch and some raw numbers but I'm going for my first toille fitting in about a month - so excited!

The rough costs for the dress making will be around 3.798 USD (fabrics excluded) but I always wanted to have a Couture dress noone else would ever have. I don't have to pay for alterations though as it's made to measure and I will get a free alteration post wedding to detach the train and make it more versatile.

No veil, pettycoat or special underwear needed - and the shoes (Jimmy Choo) have already been sponsored by my fiancé as a gift. Smiley smile

My grand total was $2600-ish. $1400 for the dress, $400 for alterations, and $450 for an elaborate handmaid Swarovski crystal wrap-around hair accessory, $150 for the veil, $100 for the shoes, and $100 for the undergarments.

Luckily my dress was a sample; had I bought it brand new, another $1400+ would have been added to my grand total.

I'm making mine, and the silk was bought years ago and I get the fabric at reduced rates so final cost is hard to say.

but what your dress is costing that doesn't sound bad to me.

do you have a picture of your dress? I'm sure it's stunning! Smiley smile

My mom is paying for the dress (I'll pay for alterations), so I wanted to keep it around $1000. She was willing to go a little higher. I got an Allure gown that came to a little over $1200

    Dress - 466.65

Sash - 69.00 (my sister paid for it)

    Fascinator/veil - 89.10

    Garment bag - 10

    Preservation kit - 99

    Shoes - 20 (on sale)

Alterations, if necessary, will be about 60. My dress is fit-and-flare, so if I drop weight I'll just have the top to adjust.

I found one i love its a Maggie sottero and its 1500 but that's way out of my budget. Have a dress very similar by Alfred Angelo that i am gonna try on, i was able to find it for 900. So that's a little better.

I got a great deal and mine was $137... Borrowing my sisters veil and got a pearl collar necklace for $13. I'm hoping to get away with spending less than $500 on all of it. Going to add some blingy stuff...
