How Much Did You Spend on Your Shoes?

Alicia, on June 16, 2019 at 7:48 PM

If you're comfortable sharing, how much did you spend on your shoes for the big day? I found a pair that I am absolutely in love with, but they are way more expensive than I even considered spending on shoes. Do I splurge on the pair I love or compromise because they're just shows for just one day?...

I spend around $46 on mine off Amazon. Though I still need to get flats for the reception(My friends talked me into buying heels for the ceremony) figured I could use them as my something blue lol

I spent $60 on my ceremony shoes (Badgley Mischka sandals) and $85 on my reception Keds. I still wear them (the keds) all the time, so it was definitely worth it!

If your dress is long, if you’ll never wear those shoes again, or if your budget is tight, $300 is probably a waste. I‘m also pretty sure you can find comparable looking flats for much less.

I personally would never buy shoes just for the wedding, that I’m not going to wear after. If you like them that much, why wouldn’t you wear them again? (especially since they are flats, so comfort is not an issue) I will definitely wear mine often after our wedding!

My shoes were about $75. Which I know isn't really that much for shoes but it's more than I usually spend on shoes. I didn't want to spend over $100 though.

I haven’t bought mine yet but I’m but I’m getting a pair of Jimmy Choo flats that I will be able to wear again after the wedding. I wouldn’t spend that kind of money if I was only going to wear them once. If you think you’ll wear them again, it might be worth the splurge.

I spent $26 bucks. It is my second wedding and I learned from the 1st wedding that I am going to ditch the uncomfortable heels like 5 seconds after pictures are taken. I did order some comfortable sandals that I will be changing into, but didn't feel guilty spending on those since I will be wearing the again as summer sandals.

I think it was $10 at goodwill? Haha! Cute, but comfy with a low heel since no one will see anyway!

$100 on my ceremony shoes and $300 on cowboy boots for the outdoor reception. My dress was only $300. Im okay with splurging on my shoes, because I can wear them after the wedding. Just thinking about wearing them after the wedding brings a smile to my face.

$80, I chose for comfort. My sister told me I should be prepared to spend more than $100. They are naturalizers got them on Zappos.com. Very comfortable, I didn’t want to buy shoes just for show. I love to dance and I didn’t wanna have to switch shoes for that!
