How much for just a small bridal bouquet?

Becky, on February 3, 2014 at 1:03 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 11

I was going to do a silk bouquet on my own, but my mom has convinced me to do real flowers. I have no attendants, groom doesn't want a bout, talked mom out of other corsages...and daughter and I are still working on decorating her basket, but she'll be dropping leaves, not flowers....so my bouquet is all I need.

My question is this....can I get a simple fall themed/colors bridal bouquet for less than $125? That seems to be a standard price for a bridal bouquet, but there's no way I'm paying that much for 10-12 flowers! I'm not set yet on any certain flower.

This is my med bouquet quote:

Medium hand-tied bouquet arranged with 3 off white hydrangeas, 12 Picasso Callas and 7 Crème roses. Edged lightly with greens. Stems wrapped with material provided (pearls) by Bride. $175

    can you go by that?

What about getting an arrangement from a supermarket or local florist, and tying it into a bridal bouquet yourself? Getting an actual "bridal bouquet" for less than $125 might be tricky, and I think a lot of florists require a minimum price to do any flowers for a wedding, so it may be hard to find one willing to do just a bouquet. Most floral arrangements at the supermarket are under $75.

Go to supermarket and buy a few bunches. And hand tie them. Under 30.00

I agree with Terry, that will probably be your cheapest option. If you don't want to worry about running around then contact a local florist for a small hand tied bouquet. They put together arrangements for mother's day and valentines day for under $100 so if you are willing to give them some freedom on the flowers I don't see why it would be that difficult.

Your best bet is to go to the florist who values the customer that will order arrangements for years for any of the personal events. I got a good deal with my florist by going that way. I'm doing a large bouquet of garden roses and peonies for $150 (which for the number and type of flowers is a great price) and my bms will have a smaller version for $75 each. I picked one of the most expensive flowers, but they'll double in vases as centerpieces. I'm sure you can find something reasonably priced if you talk to the florist and say you're open to the in season, more economical flower choices, and want more of a BM sized bouquet.

My bouquet was around $50. Lots of babies breath, dark purple carnations and light pink larkspur. I didn't want to spend a fortune, but neither was I going to do my own flowers.

My friend did all of her flowers for around$250 by going to a local farmers market and buying and bunching the flowers herself.

Becky, will you need floral centerpieces? If not, a florist probably will not deliver just one bouquet, so someone will have to pick it up for you.

My bridesmaids' bouquets will be small and simple. They cost $70 each.

I do not need any centerpieces. I was assuming I would need to have it picked up.

I'm thinking picking up a mixed bunch at the grocery store the day before and tying them together myself may be what I need to do to stay on budget. I have other places I'd rather spend money.
