How much is too much for flowers?

Rachel, on September 19, 2019 at 11:23 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 38
Hi everyone! I'm getting married in June and I've just started looking around for a florist. I want real flowers and I'm not sure how much money everything should cost? I was quoted $946.86 and that's for my bouquet, 7 bridesmaids bouquets, 14 boutonnieres, 4 corsages, the centerpieces, and the ceremony flowers which includes flowers on a gazebo. The price also includes set up and delivery the day of the wedding. Is this a good deal or should I keep looking?

Personally I could never spend $1k on flowers but that’s just never where my priorities were... it seems like you are being offered an amazing deal for the amount of stuff you’re getting though!

Floral items are usually priced out individually. As an example, my bridal bouquet was $125, bridesmaids' bouquets were $60 each, and bouts were $15 each. I did garlands for centerpieces and those are priced per foot, but generally centerpieces can be anywhere from $50 all the way to $300 or more for each centerpiece depending on the flowers and how elaborate they are. We would have to know how many centerpieces you're ordering and how many flowers for your gazebo and type of flower to better answer the question, but so far it sounds like a great deal. I ended up paying around $2,400 for my flowers.

That's a great deal. I paid 712 for setup, delivery of centerpieces for 9 tables, 1 bride bouquet, 2 bridesmaid bouquets, 3 kissing balls, 3 corsages, and 8 boutineers. I was happy with it and no stress!

That is an excellent deal! I'm in Ohio too, but the northeast area, and I'm getting less than you (my bouquet, 4 bridesmaids bouquets, 9 boutonnieres, 3 corsages, flower girl petals & crown, and cake flowers) and paying $960--which was actually one of the most affordable quotes I've found.

I don’t think you’re going to get a lower price for that

I'm getting bridal bouquet, 3 bridesmaids bouquets, 2 corsages and 7 boutonniers for $250 I think I'm going to do the centerpieces myself. It sounds like you're getting a lot for your money I just didn't have an elaborate flower budget ($500 for everything) so I have to be crafty.

Sounds like a bargain! I am paying around $2700 for bouquet, 4 bridesmaids bouquets, 5 boutonnieres, 2 corsages, flower girl stuff, decorating a hanging ladder with floral, and centerpieces (not sure how many), along with rentals for candles and other table decorations. That includes the set up and clean up.

I’m in NJ as well and my florist gave me a great price. Most florist I went to quoted me over $3000. Luckily I found someone who would work with me.

That's an incredible price! I'm paying way more for less. $2700 for 5 bouquets, 7 boutonnieres, 2 wrist corsages, and ceremony and reception flowers. And even that price was one of lower quotes I found while searching for a florist and it was very difficult to find even that.
