how much is too much for flowers?

I'm in the same boat I think the quotes I'm getting are really high. I have got some really low quotes but for flowers that i don't want or just personal flowers and not ceremony or reception decor.I agree shop around and make sure that it's affordable and yet your getting what you want. It's hard I know, but also prioritize what's most important to you. Flowers are really important for me. I personally feel they really set the tone for the wedding so I'm splurging on them. But to each is own everyone has different priorities.

Thanks for asking this... I fell in love with an orchid bouquet that is now non-negotiable. Honestly, the only flowers I care about are the ones in my hands.

Also, I've read that centerpieces at the sweetheart table can be a nuisance, as guests will be approaching you both throughout the reception with well wishes. Good luck

The first pic you included looks very similar to what I want- roses and hydrangeas in tall centerpieces. We are paying about 3500 for flowers in Boston (also high prices like NYC) but we did get quoted for 2500 at another florist. Alternating high and low centerpieces is a good way to save money!

I think if you choose orchids and calla lillies, you'll have a higher budget. I love them too, but they are some of the most expensive flowers.

Sarah and Mayuri's, thanks so much but I did a trip to NYC and met with 3 florists and already booked with one of them. She quoted me for 1300, but I have the felling I will ending up paying a little bit more at the end .

Daisy, I did not choose any of the ones of the pictures because they were too expensive. But the florist will do something similar mixing roses, calla lilies, and a few orchids. Now I just have to think about the colors because my wedding will white and gold and I do not know what flower colors to choose.
