How much is TOO much jewelry?

SoonToBeMrsD, on June 26, 2015 at 1:35 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11

I have simple pearl and diamond drop earings and a simple pearl and diamond necklace that I am going to wear. I feel like I should have something on my wrist, but I also feel like it may be too much jewelry. Thoughts?

I have two sets of piercings in my ears plus a cartilage piercing in my right ear. I'm wearing sapphire studs in one set and pearls in the other set with a diamond stud in the cartilage. I have a pearl necklace with a gold and sapphire flower and a matching bracelet. If I went with really flashy earrings that may have been too much. Two bracelets might be too much but unless your dress itself is really flashy, a little booing on your wrist will help to balance it out nicely.

That sounds really pretty! Smiley smile yea, I'm thinking it may be too much, unless I do a simple bracelet. I would just do my left wrist if I decided on a bracelet. Maybe my best bet is to put the jewelry on when I go to my fitting and decide from there...

I didn't need a necklace with the style of my dress. I wore pearl earrings with a rhinestone surround. I wore a simple pearl bracelet and a rhinestone bracelet.

I think it depends on your dress. If you have a lot of bling on the dress I wouldn't wear much jewelry. My dress was simple so i wore pearl drop earrings, a silver chain with a pearl pendant, and a pearl bracelet.

Best piece of style advice I ever got... get fully dressed look in the mirror and pick at least one thing to remove.

I got mine on sale at Macy's 70% off - $23 for small dangling earrings and bracelet.

Assumed you were talking about price - it all depends on your dress. My dress is pretty detailed so i kept mine simple...Lol

I wore a necklace, tear drop stud earrings and a bracelet and don't think it was too much. My dress also didn't have any bling or embellishments on it. Had the dress had some I would have eliminated something

Mine is going to be simple because my dress is not to simple. I have big earrings (my hair wlll be half up-half down) and might buy a simple necklace but that's it.

My dress had a lot going on, so I kept is simple with just earrings and a bracelet (no necklace). My opinion is necklaces look nice if your dress is simple with no beading. Otherwise, they can be overkill. You want people to be looking at you, not your jewelry
