How much is too much

Denise, on May 28, 2019 at 10:35 AM Posted in Registry 0 6

So I have invited around 200 people, only expecting like 165 to show up. I registered for 150 items, but those include cash funds. So, should I add some more little things here and there? I think I have a pretty good mix of price points, but I just am so unsure of myself! We registered for camping stuff, some small furniture like bookshelves and a pot rack, we registered for upgraded bedding and for things like new plates, silverware, barware, drinking glasses, I'm running out of ideas here so I'm hoping it'll be enough, but everywhere I read you should register for 2 gifts per person. What do yall think?

If someone offers to host a shower, I would try to add more items. If all else fails, you can keep an eye on your registries and add items if you see them getting low.

We had 90 items and invited 223 people (around 105 households). My mom hosted my shower, so I added more lower priced items prior (most were purchased for the shower) then took them off after. I think having enough for the traditional gift givers is great, then the rest can give cash.

Following! I recently created our wedding registry and my FH told me he didn't care. (i.e. whatever I wanted). Well last night I showed it to him and he was appalled at the amount of stuff on there. Granted we already pretty much live together but I am looking for quality items that will last a few years. Any tips or suggestions of what to put on there and what not to??

I used this when going through trying to add stuff. I just did all upgrades of what we have, like instead of a mainstays blender, I added a shark blender and plan to gift the mainstays to my younger brother who will be moving into his own apartment soon!

We had a hard time with ours. I had lived by myself for like 13 years before meeting hubs. I had nice pots, pans, knives etc. (Pampered Chef, Emeril etc). We put a few odds and ends for kitchen on there and then things like folding chairs and card table, lawn chairs and a nicer griddle/indoor grill. We got a lot of those items at the shower. Word of advise.. don't turn your man loose in Bed Bath and beyond with the scanner gun. I ended up with a Thor hammer lamp, corn butterer and a dorm destinking kit! oh and peanuts!
