When are you taking time off before your wedding?? So far I’ve requested off just the Thursday and Friday before my wedding! I wanted to see what others are doing! I’m just not sure if it’s enough time.

Well, I still haven't figured this out. I'll be taking off the week after the wedding for our honeymoon cruise. I would like to take the whole week before off, but not sure if I'll have enough vacation days. Worst case scenario, I'll take the Thursday and Friday before our Saturday wedding off. But I would like more days, just to be able to take care of any last minute stuff without stressing!

I planned to take Wed-Fri off but switched to Thurs-Fri due to the Monday before our wedding being a paid holiday so I'm just going to use Monday to start getting things done. Honestly it just depends on your work situation and how much you will have to do right before the wedding.

I took off the Thursday and Friday before my Saturday wedding. Technically I worked the Tuesday-Wednesday of that week, but my job is super flexible and I work remotely full time. It's more of a "get your work done" than "you must be online 9-5 or you get in trouble." That Tuesday we flew down to our destination wedding location, and Wednesday I worked in the morning, then got a blowout and mani pedi for my bachelorette party, which was all day Thursday through the night. Friday I traveled with my bridal party from the bachelorette location to the wedding location, hung out during the day with my MoH and her sister and then went to our welcome party Friday night. I definitely didn't need to take anymore time off. I took two full weeks off for the honeymoon (and then worked remotely at for another week), so I didn't want to take any unnecessary time off.

I requested a week and a day before and after our wedding. However we are getting married out of state and need to travel and take care of marriage license and such before and after. I also work for a company that has "unlimited" pto and expects you to take off 5 weeks per year, so I know that is unusual.

We are having a home reception in October, not only am I not taking time off before that event, I will also be flying home from a cross country, week long business trip the night before... Eek. Hope FH doesn't let anything slip through the cracks.....
