So I had my dress fitting today and left just hating how I look in it. I asked the seamstress if she thought it was too tight across the hips/lower abdomen and she said no. I disagree... I feel so self conscious and have been looking for every kind of shapewear online that will help me. Any suggestions or thoughts?? My wedding is in 5 weeks, help girls!

    Gorgeous dress! The key here is eliminating the lines that cut below your hips and smoothing everything out. Longer bike shorts with a higher waist (that sits just below the bustline) should eliminate any lines. Once the fabric of the dress is allowed to lay perfectly flat and smooth, you should look even BETTER than you do now.

    You look beautiful! My dress is fitting the same way, and my high waisted shorts shapewear (not even Spanx brand) smooths me out enough to not be self conscious.

    It is gorgeous! But Spanx! Can help you feel more secure on with your hip area. Undergarments are a lifesaver. Rock it girl!

    Shapewear could honestly be the solution. It doesn't look too small but with that fabric, having something smooth things out would work wonders.
