How much time for 4c hair?

Parshandatha, on August 14, 2019 at 6:53 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 4
I have 4c hair and so does 1 of my 4 bridesmaids. The other 2 have straight or relaxed hair. How much time should I allow for hair and makeup given the different textures? My wedding is at 1pm. Should I ask that hair is done already when they arrive or do their own, so only makeup is needed before the ceremony? All suggestions are appreciated.

What are you and the other bridesmaid with 4c hair getting done? Will you be straightening/then styling or doing like a twist out/then styling? When you usually get your hair done how long does it take? I’d say you should plan for what it usually takes for each person and maybe a little bit more time for you, because you’re the bride and want everything to be perfect. I’m having my two bridesmaids get make up done with me before the ceremony. For their hair I’m not requiring they get it done, I just want a simple style that looks uniform for the both of them, but knowing my friends they’ll probably choose to get it done. If they want to get it done day of with me that’s fine, or if they want to get it done at their own hair dresser that’s fine too. If everyone is doing hair/makeup before the ceremony you’d def have to start very early (that also depends on how many stylists/make up artists there are). You should probably talk to your bridesmaids too and see what everyone wants to do/what works best.

Hey there! Welcome to the WeddingWire community!

I would definitely talk to all of your bridesmaids to find out who wants to get their hair done with a stylist with you and who would prefer to do it themselves. That way you will know how many people you will need to account for in your timeline.

What style are you getting done with your hair? Have you considered having a trial before your wedding to make sure everything goes to plan? If so, you can see how long your trial takes and then plan accordingly with that timeframe.

The length of time your hair will take will totally depend on the style you choose and how fast your stylist works.

My hubby-to-be wants to see my natural hair texture, so straightening is out. I'm deciding between a twist out or or Marley extensions in an updo. I want the style to be something easy to maintain though the honeymoon. I had not considered a uniform hair style for their hair.
Thanks for the tip on adding more time for me.
