How much time off from work are you taking for your wedding?

Hello! I know this has been asked before but wanted a fresh take on it. How much time off from work are you taking for your wedding? How many of those days are for before your wedding and how many for after?

Getting married on a Friday; taking 2 days before and the Monday; 4 working days. We will still have family in town thru the weekend and want to spend some time with them since we haven't seen family due to Covid. We're taking a honeymoon in the summer.

I plan on taking 3 days before the wedding and 2 weeks after (1 week for honeymoon). I want to be spend some time together in general not just on vacation before having to return to work.

We are marrying on a Friday. We are yaking off only the day before (Thursday) and the day of (Friday); so two days total.

My wedding falls on a Sunday, October 17th and I don’t work weekends so I’m taking the Thursday and Friday before the wedding off and that following week off. Honeymoon is from the 18th to the 23rd so I’ll return on the 25th.

We’re getting married and honeymooning in Europe and we’re taking about 2 and a half weeks off work (12 days). We’ve been saving them up!

Hey! So we are getting married upstate and live in the city, so for our Sunday wedding going to take off Thursday and head up then. Possibly leave Thursday after work and just take off Friday, then come back home Monday which is a holiday and depending when we do our honeymoon (if it’s not right away) take off tues and wed afterwards. So 3-4 days total, 4-5 for me since I usually work Saturdays

Just 2! We’re getting married on a Friday, so I’m taking that Thursday and Friday off. Saving my time for the honeymoon 2 weeks later 😅🤩

We are getting married on a Friday and then (covid permitting!) honeymooning Sunday-Saturday after, so I am planning on taking off 10 days total! Couple days before, honeymoon week, and then couple days after. I’m very lucky in that I have a lot of PTO, most of it saved up from not being able to do anything last year.

I took off Thursday, Friday, and Monday for my Saturday wedding. While I have many paid sick days, I only have 4 paid personal days per school year. We weren’t going on a honeymoon, so taking the minimum was fine for me!

I’m taking the Thursday and Friday before my wedding off and then we leave for a week for our honeymoon the Friday after the wedding ( we didn’t want to rush to our honeymoon and be stressed about timing). So in total , I’ll be taking off 7 days.

I'm taking off the Friday before and the whole week after. My FH and I aren't planning on doing a true honeymoon until later in the year when travel is a little safer (we want to go to Hawaii and want to make sure we can enjoy it with limited restrictions!) but we're going to do a short local trip right after so that we can decompress and not just go right back to work after getting married.

Two weeks, even though we're getting married locally. We're getting married next Saturday, I'm off starting tomorrow through the end of the month. We're not doing a honeymoon immediately, and I have an absurd amount of leave to burn this year since we were allowed to roll over more than usual last year (already 30+ hours over my max carry-over for the year). Assuming we can travel this fall, I'll take more time in September (hopefully) for us to go on vacation/honeymoon.

I am technically scheduled Thursday-Tuesday of my wedding weekend. I took all of those days off and already have 1 week before and 1 week after off as well. So almost 3 weeks. It just worked out perfectly with my work schedule!

He will probably take Thursday through the following week off for a short trip.

My wedding is on a Thursday and I will work that Monday and Tuesday of that week. We will go on our honeymoon the following month.
