My venue allows a dog to be part of my wedding ceremony, which is perfect because I have always wanted my German Shepherd to be in my wedding to some degree. The only downside is he has to be off the premises after the ceremony during the reception so I was looking into using Rover or a similar site to find a dog sitter who can pick him up after the ceremony/pics and drop him off at my parent's house about 29 miles from the venue. I imagine it will take less than an hour for the sitter to pick him up and drop him off, but I am curious if anyone else may know how much to pay for this sort of job? Or if anyone has any advice? I figured compensating for mileage will be the main thing to consider since my dog is very well behaved and can be dropped off in my parent's backyard with food and water for the rest of the evening.
