How much was your open bar?

Out of curiosity, how much did your open bar come to and how many guests did you serve? I'm trying to come up with a ballpark of potentially 110 guests. We have a lot of out of towners, so I don't expect nearly all to show but of course planning on it.

    We're having a consumption bar, beers are $1.95 each, soda is $1, and we're having wine but the venue doesn't readily have it they have to bring it in for us so I'm not sure how much it is per bottle.

    In my venue package they included the open bar in the per person charge. Usually it's included in the package

    We brought in our own alcohol. We provided 3 types of beer, 4 types of wine, champagne, and 2 signature cocktails. We spent less than $1000 for alcohol for 140 people and had a lot left over.

    Our open bar prices range from about $13/pp to $30/pp for 4 hours. Just depends on how many (and the quality of) options we want.

    I don't understand some of these prices. $1.95 per beer? $5pp and $6pp? How is that possible? Where do you people live?!

    Ours (daughters) is $40 pp for BWS and a sig drink. We will upgrade the wine. Bars are one the most pricey parts of a wedding.

    We bought our own alcohol and came in just under $2k for that. Bartenders were $35 per hour and then $2 pp for mixers, cups, ice etc

    Otherwise the average quote we received if we didn't bring the alcohol was $9pp per hour

    We have the open bar included in our venue. Price is 101.97 per person. Includes a lot for that amount. We are locked in for 100. Planning on inviting 125-130. Hoping 100 show- a lot of guests are OOT too

    ETA: the cost includes all food served, cake, coffee/tea, etc

    $57 per person for beer, wine, and standard liquor e.g. Not top shelf. Including fees and taxes, $76 pp. Plus $100 per bartender and a ridiculous $250 fee to move the bar from the cocktail hour space into the reception room. So total for our 200 guests we're looking at around 15k for alcohol. Send help.

    Luckily my Venue allows me to bring our own liquor as long as we have a licenced bartender

    I think mine is around $45 per person plus tax and bartender fee. My venue includes it in the total catering cost.

    Hosting 4 hours at our Midwest venue:

    * beer & soda = $7/pp

    * beer, soda & wine = $9.50/pp

    * full bar = $40/pp (ouch)

    ETA for consumption bar:

    * ~$3.25/soda/mineral water/juice

    * ~$5.25/beer ($275 domestic beer/half barrel)

    * ~$6.50/wine/champagne/cocktails

    Including bartenders, tax and service fees, we're at almost $4K for 200 adults + 25 under 21ers (reduced fee for the non alcohol aged people) for 5 hours of open bar. That's only beer and wine. We did upgrade the beers to local beers so that upped the price a bit. We would like to add a signature cocktail so that will make it probably $400 more so not sure yet.
