How much was your wedding dress ?

$1,800 plus $200 belt. It also includes a $285 alterations and steaming package, but I'll have to get the top altered more than that $285 covers. I won't go in for fittings until July. The dress was originally $3,700. I could/should have gone cheaper, but oh well.

I am also thinking about getting several of my friends together to have a fun wedding dress photo shoot (since we will all be married by June 2020). So it'll give us an excuse to wear our dresses again!

Mine was around 3k, originally 7k. Haven't gone in for alterations yet so, hoping that doesn't cost much. I didn't want to spend that much on a dress, but I knew I wouldn't love another dress as much as I love this one. So oh well. Lol.

I really recommend setting a budget you feel comfortable with & that you can afford & then sticking to it. Wedding dresses range from $100 to over $10,000, so what someone else spends is kind of irrelevant. One bride might spend $4000 & be completely ok with it & able to afford it, while another bride might think that’s absolutely crazy lol.

Mine was $500 from a sample sale. But like others said, don't base your budget off of what other brides paid! Only pay what's comfortable to you. There is no "usual" price if you can't tell, I paid a lot less than the other ladies that have commented and I have seen plenty of other brides pay less than I did. Usually, boutiques have sample sales once or twice a year where pricier dresses are marked down to get rid of inventory (mine was originally $1500). I would sit down and figure out how much you can afford to pay and go from there.

My first dress was $1200, but I've fallen in love with another dress- its $2000, but I found a heavily altered one of that style online that's $600. Im really considering buying it!

Mine was $2800 and on sale for $1000. And ended up only paying $699 because I bought the one off the rack!

$1900 before alterations. She is being altered now. Cost $300 but that includes alterations to my dress, FHs tux and my 9yr olds dress.

Dress and taxes, I paid $480 something. I’m going in for my first fitting May 25 and will find out about alterations. I’m hoping they’ll be about $2-300.
IMO, I would set and stick to a budget that you’re comfortable with and make sure if you bring anyone with you to dress shop, they know your budget as well! The last thing you want is to fall in love with a dress you can’t afford!!!

Mine was $300 off the clearance rack as is. I will have to alter the straps but that’s it. My budget was max $300 for my dress and I was very pleased I found something within my price range. I was looking at another dress that was more than double that but I’m sure now if I had bought that one I’d be regretting it.

My budget was $2500, the dress actually cost $1600. I have not had alterations done yet but all I need is a little taken in on the top and waist and a bustle...maybe ever so slight hemming, so I am hoping it'll all come in under $2000.

Mine is designer Martina Liana and was $3340 with taxes could have found something cheaper but I’m obsessed with this dress it’s super detailed and blingy and it’s worth it! Lol

I spent $449 on mine (no tax, which was shocking), just ordered so not even at alterations yet. I personally think it’s a bit nutso to spend over $100 on ANY dress, let alone one you’ll wear once, but after trying on dresses and finding one that makes me feel so beautiful and like absolute royalty I have much better understanding of why people spend a lot on their wedding dress. I’m actually extremely excited about the dress I bought and feel like it LOOKS like it cost 10x more than I actually spent, so I honestly feel very good about what I did spend.

Mine was $760 on sale. Not sure about alterations yet, but mom is getting those anyways lol.
