Why would you be wrong? Only you know your budget and what you can realistically spend on a dress.

My dress cost $1,600 before alterations. My budget was $2,000 originally. I went to 3 salons and basically every dress was under that price so I had a ton of options. I've been in two weddings, the first one spent $300 to have her dress made by a seamstress and the second spent $600 at David's Bridal. Both were beautiful dresses.

I'm very much a believer that it's your wedding and you should do it however you want. I have seen brides in $50 gowns from sample sales and clearance racks or even a $25 dress from the thrift store looking just a good as brides in designer gowns. I'm making my own dress. I have a few more things to buy for it, but so far I've only spent around $100 and I doubt I'll spend another hundred to finish it up.

My dress was right at a $1000, however if I could have found one that I loved for cheaper then I most definitely would have bought a cheaper one.

Don't feel bad and don't compare yourself to others. Spend whatever fits in your budget. there are so many options out there to be able to find a beautiful wedding dress.
My dress was $2K. I'm not sure how much alterations will be. Thankfully, I don't need much altered.

I completely understand. I posted on here not too long ago regarding dress prices.

You can DEFINITELY find dresses at low prices, some women were even stating that they got dresses from Amazon for under $500.

I'm definitely going to shop around and not be afraid of a good bargain. Once your dress in on, no one will have to know how much you paid or where it's from (unless you tell themSmiley smile ).

I just bought my dress today! It was originally $1600 and on sale for $399! $400 was my budget lol and that’s only because I saved it from my taxes last year lol

There’s no reason to spend a ton of money if that’s not what you want to do. I had a pretty high budget.... and fell in love with a $600 dress! Which left room to add a lace bolero for my ceremony and a huge cathedral veil. So I came to around $1500 total. But I could’ve gone higher, why bother if you love something cheaper!

I spent $280 on mine, and was happy with that. The dress isn’t a huge thing to me, so it didn’t get very much of a budget. Which was fine! It probably will cost under $500 total, with alterations. But you’re definitely not wrong for not wanting to spend a lot! If that’s not a priority, spend your money elsewhere! It’s one dress for one day. And you can get some amazing gowns for under $500!! Just gotta look!!

There is nothing wrong with wanting a low end priced dress. My dress was expensive, but that is only because my mom bought it for me...which I am truly grateful. If I had to buy my dress, I would of been buying something much cheaper.

Dresses come at a wide range of prices for a reason, budgets vary. It doesn't matter if it's a I don't have the money for an expensive dress or a I don't want to spend the money on one. Whatever your budget, you'll find something. H&M has wedding dresses, as does asos, department stores, modcloth, ChiChi London. Azazie and BHLDN are other options.
