How old were you when you got engaged vs the age you thought you'd get engaged?

Hi Kimberly! I thought I’d be engaged at 27/28 and got engaged at 35. It all worked out as it should’ve all in God’s timing ❤️

I thought I would get engaged at 27/28 and I actually got engaged when I was 25! I will be 27 when we get married!

I got engaged at 24 and I had hoped to be married by 25 which I was. My husband also knew from a conversation years before I ideally wanted to be married by 25.

I thought I would be 27-28 when I got engaged, ended up not working out as I didn't start dating my now FH until that age. Got engaged at 31. Didn't get married at 30 like I planned but that is ok. Hitting 27 and realizing I was not with someone who I saw a happy future really helped me do an assessment of my life and overall it. My life then vs now are so different.

I never really had an age that I thought I'd be engaged by, though I was hoping to be married by 30. I would have been married by 30 if COVID wasn't an issue, though at this point, even being married by 30 isn't a concern for me. I ended up being engaged at 28, and was supposed to be married at 29, but will now be married at 31 (thanks, COVID!). Honestly, I actually wouldn't change any of our current plans for the world. It's funny how timing works out exactly as it needs to be!

I got engaged at 26. Thought I’d be engaged maybe 24. Will be 29, turning 30 by the time I get married.

Like Lisa, I never really had an age I thought I would be engaged by. My husband and I started dating at 23, and about 6 months in I knew I wanted to marry him. At 27 we got engaged, so it took awhile lol. But I have loved every year spent with him.

I got engaged when I was 24 turning 25 and I honestly never really thought about marriage before meeting my husband so I don’t think there was necessarily an ideal age but I do want to say it was earlier than I thought. I guess because typically most of my friends talk about getting married in their late 20s

I always thought I would get engaged at 23/24 (if he hadn’t proposed by then I would have), but he totally surprised me and I got engaged way earlier than I ever thought I would at 21!

I got engaged when I was 29, and I’ll be 30 when we get married. I started dating my fiancé when I was 28. I always thought I would get get engaged by 27/28 and married before 30. I guess I’m not that far off.

I wanted to be married at 18 but God had other plans. My perfect for me man came into the picture (my 1st and only boyfriend) 3 years ago when I was 30, we got engaged on my 33 birthday, and will be getting married may 8, 2021 while we are both 33

Engaged at 24, expected 28/29

When I was younger I thought 25 was a reasonable age to get married, but I ended up not meeting my fiancé until then, and we got engaged on my 27th birthday

When I was younger I thought I'd be engaged at 23 married by 25. Meet my fiance at 25 and was not looking for a serious relationship. We took our time and decided we wanted to have stability before marriage. We were together 8 years before he proposed at 33.

I never really had an age in mind of when I thought I would get in engaged like most girls but I would of love to been engage by 25. I actually got engaged at 28 1/2. It worked out perfectly. I’ll be 29 when we get marry and my fiancé will have just turned 30.

I expected by mid 20’s... actually mid 40’s! ♥️

With my fiance I thought 29 and I was 28 when it actually happened.

I expected to be engaged at 28/29 and married by 30. I got engaged when I was 22 but had a long term engagement due to outside factors. I am now 25 and expecting to get married this year if all goes accordingly 💕

I've been engaged twice, actually. Thankfully, I escaped the first engagement before we got married. But, I was 24 at the time, and I'd been expecting it.

Then I got engaged at 36, and while I saw the proposal coming, I had WANTED to be engaged for about 3 years at that point! But DH is younger than me.
