How Tall Should My Centerpiece Be?

Paige, on December 16, 2016 at 2:29 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 3

I'm wanting a centerpiece similar to this one.

I can't afford trumpet vases (goodness, so expensive!)

I was thinking of making a similar look with tall candle holders or even painted table legs that are tall and thin. I don't want the pomander to block anyone's view of eachother at the table. I was thinking 1.5-2 feet tall?

Also, for a pomander that looks about like this, what size foam ball should I start with? I'm planning on using silk carnations to cover it since they tend to have a wide bloom.

Hi Paige, welcome to WW! Make sure to upload a picture for your avatar (instead of the default icons) so that we can get to know you and tell you apart from all the other posters.

You'll want to make sure that your guests can still see each other and talk across the table, so the general rules are to keep the short centerpieces under 12" tall, and the tall centerpieces over 24" tall!

My florist recommended 20-24" tall vases for this look:
